Not always, Jean Ping of Gabon had a Chinese father but has done good for Africa including chairing the AU for several years. Seriously though, the difference between Europe/Middle Eastern hegemony and Chinese is that China isn't quite as accepting (yet) of mixed race people, even as a buffer. East Asia as a whole has a lot of bigotry against mixed race people which prevents this kind of alignment. For them to ally with China I can only envision them aligning with a settler population of Chinese living in Africa. China has assimilated a lot of people in Asia over history but as far as leveraging "mixed" people, it really hasn't been part of their strategy. Maybe they will learn from Whites/Arabs though .
African political and national consciousness is a lot better now though than 100 or 1,000 years ago. I don't see most African Blasians being like colonial era coloured populations en masse but I could be wrong.

If people are really worried about Chinese influence in Africa, turning against mixed African-Chinese is a red herring. There are more than enough 100% Black Africans who are willing to take bribes and c00n for the Chinese like they did the Whites before them. It keeps it clean for China and keeps us controlled.
