I'm not sure you understand what charisma is. Ask the crowd how they felt about Reigns after this promo -

Would you support reigns if he wasn't handsome ??? I mean honestly at this point he has zero traits to say yeah he should be main eventing a potential mania . Can he ever be that guy ? Maybe but as of now he's going slow as molasses . He can't wrestle Like a punk , Rollins , orton, Bryan which helped them , he can't talk like punk, rock , cena Austin , foley Etc.hes not even physically gifted like a cena , Cesaro big E who can do big man moves and he's not real talk either . I know some of those are all time greats but he does nothing stand out ( besides having magnificent hair ) I like reigns but they going to hurt him by not letting him get over organically . The biggest thing is he his charisma may not be the kind of charisma for a main eventer , look at Batista he's a soft spoken humble low self esteem guy but he was able to come across as a bad ass and A very good heel .

No one is saying all superstars should've have completely creative control. I think there's a difference between choosing which direction your career goes and being given the freedom to cultivate a persona. They give you guidelines, which you take that and adjust to how you see best (within reason) or you bring something to the table and you work with creative to create a good character. The little things can make a big difference.

I think reigns shouldn't even have been considered for the top spot unless he showed some amazing growth and the fans were just all behind him . I think really he was hurt too by trying to automatically make him a main eventer after the shield split

And he was over in the Shield. Or at least his punch and spear were. But once they gave him the big spotlight, it became apparent to anyone with common sense that he's not a main event performer yet, so fans cooled off on him.

Since 2010. He should've floundered in the upper midcard with nods to the main event kind of like Seth while he honed his skills for the main event.

so 4 years in? yeah, see this is part of why not having territories is gonna end up killing wrestling. it's extremely rare for a superstar to be wrestlemania main event , #1 guy in the biz ready. Like the list is Rock, Brock(and even he needed/needs Heyman as his mouth piece), Kurt Angle, Goldberg(maybe)

I seen reigns be entertaining in outside stuff idk how you translate his personality to wwe though . Without his shield association you think he'd be getting anything but crickets ? Maybe the women would love him but other than that i doubt it

who knows. too early to tell in terms of work afterwards and nothing to go on in terms of work beforehand.

im not big on reigns so id personally say probably not because he has such a limited move-set and below average-bad promos in the ring thus far. being with ambrose and rollins (good workers) helped him significantly because he was essentially the "closer" and his move-set was built for that. its all hypothetical and premature at this point though

did you watch the awa?
scott hall the original was not a on the mic based draw, and roman reigns is a mix of the original awa big scott hall and diesel.

the wwe has not mixed razor ramon era hall with this character.
nor, is reigns capable of being razor ramon at this exact point in time, either.
just like hall, had to grow into being razor.
so, i don't know why they expect more than that.
or ask reigns to be more than that.
he should be goldberg who says very little, and be the mysterious guy who comes to the ring through the crowd.
nobody should really know much about reigns other than he kicks ass, and comes out the crowd.

real talk,...
they should have never talked about him past the emergency surgery.
reigns should have never had an interview.
as him being shown on the self shows weakness.
