Voting doesn't change a thing.
This simply isnt true. People operate in these absolute terms and if it's not one way and one way only, then to them nothing changes. Change does not operate that way which is why people who think that way will never be happy and say statements that simply aren't true. Look at what's happening in Philly due to this new district attorney. This was because people voted.

Just curious who you voted for, why and what you expect the politicians you voted for to accomplish.

Most people I ask around me on work sites voting for Beto in Tx.
I plan to vote November 6th for Tim Kaine and Elaine Luria. Even though Kaine is a corporatist I feel that he will continue to help with education and jobs. In my opinion, as a minority, I feel that Blacks need to be involved politically. Our ancestors died for us to have the right to vote and protest. I will do it just for that alone and to fight for my community.

In 2016 is when I got really involved when I phonebanked and donated to the Sanders campaign. Also, I worked the voting polls on election day and met some cool people. Plan to continue working and volunteering on a full time basis. You can always make time if you don't have any kids.

I voted for Obama twice already

Not a god damn thing changed
:stopitslime:

Local elections have way more influence in your day to day quality of living than presidential ones do.

American "democracy" on the national level is a false friend. I still vote in these as well though, just for historical reasons.

I voted to get Feinstein’s old decrepit ass the fukk up outta senate and I De Leon as her replacement .... bytch doesn't even believe in universal health care and was opposed to weed legislation for decades before suddenly switching her view this year .. all this fukkery while representing what’s supposed to be the most liberal state in the union ... sorry I ain’t got time for that or her views on making college tuition free ... her time needs to be done ... I also voted for Gavin Newsome ... (voted for the Johnny Chaing in the primary tho)

Voted in support of most of the props except prop 6
