but to me this is his best album. Should be at least in the top 2.

I know Dare iz a Darkside is one of those albums that attracts a certain kinda fan but Muddy Waters and Whut? are better albums. 5 mics. Dare probably 4.5 mics.

What a run though, hell...even Doc's Da Name was amazing. Redman ruled the 90s as a solo artist in terms of quality releases.

Classic. Copped it as soon as possible after seeing the "Blow Ya Mind" video on Rap City. Then seeing him on In Living Color too.



P.S. On Snoop's GGN show Redman said he modelled this album after Amerikkka's Most Wanted and wanted to make an East Coast version of it.

For me, Dare and Muddy Waters are 4.5 mic albums but Whut? is borderline 5 mics for me.

Incredible track.

My favourite track tho is Time 4 Sum Aksion. As Art Barr mentioned earlier, one of the absolute best opening tracks in hip-hop. Perfect energiser track.

But there are some less talked about tracks that deserve more mentions...I'm a Bad for example.

I'd hafta go back and revisit it, but from my memory, it might've been the length/skits, and a couple of tracks that I thought were just cool.

Don't get me wrong tho...this is def a dope album IMO
