The problem is that the word "Hispanic" wasn't even used until the 60s, and wasn't put on the US Census until 1970. You called people by which individual country they were from. There are different "races" in so-called Latin-America, just like in the USA. The only difference is that they speak Spanish.

No, the traditional ADOS/AA has 10-30% white admixture.

Latino's are 70% Spanish with exception of Brazil an Belize.

Now the poor area of latino countries like southern Mexico, or Venezuela those latino's go about 50%-70% native, central and north Mexico average 70% European. Argentina is majority European.

So the phrase "white women with a taco" has "some" validity as a majority of latino's are European and can claim white.

The white people who have a problem with latino's are the British, English, German American descendants.

It's not about how latino's look, it's about there culture, they speak a different language, food and music is totally different, For those whites, it would be like if Spain took over all of the UK. They also consider latino's dirty.

So there resistance is not about latino's whiteness but about there culture

imo Hispanics alignment with native ancestry(Aztecs and all) differ some take pride in their native ancestry and you will see them pound their chest about it.

Others however, they don't care for it. It really comes down to a case by case basis pendent on the person
