The bolded is a lie. They did not sell their own brothers into slavery. You still think that all "black" people are the same that is why you cannot understand that certain group traded and sold other groups into slavery. Esau did business with specific groups and aided them with weapons such as muskets and cannons to give them an advantage against groups considered outsiders. It was not some free for all, it was an actual mutual trade agreement. You do not trade sell tens of millions of people into slavery unless you have a very deep hatred for the people you are trading.

The slave trade by ship was prophesied to happen in the scriptures. Down to who was going to be traded, the Israelites. What they would be traded for, alcohol. Who would deliver them to slavery, the Canaanites and Arabs. Who would buy them, the Edomites. That is what you were not taught.

Meet the South African king whose remarks launched the Xenophobic attacks


Zulu King Godwill Zwelithi's utterances on March 23rd launched the Zenophobic attacks in South Africa and he had refused to apologize, even after finding out that his people have maimed, killed and destroyed businesses belonging to black foreigners. He's still insisting that foreigners should go back to their countries but tried to save face by saying attacking the foreigners is not how to chase them away. He wants the government to do it legally.

During a speech last month, Zwelithini called for the deportation of foreign nationals living in the country, saying it was unacceptable locals were being made to compete with people from other countries for the few economic opportunities they had available. King Zwelithi said "foreigners must pack their bags and go home".



His three major complaints and why he wanted foreigners to go were; 1. SA traders in the townships said they could not compete with the prices that foreign-owned businesses were selling their products. 2; foreigners involved in crime. 3. Lack of respect shown by foreigners to locals.

Addressing Pongolo community members during a moral regeneration event, Zwelithini accused government of failing to protect locals from the “influx of foreign nationals”. He said;
“Most government leaders do not want to speak out on this matter because they are scared of losing votes. As the king of the Zulu nation, I cannot tolerate a situation where we are being led by leaders with no views whatsoever. “We are requesting those who come from outside to please go back to their countries. The fact that there were countries that played a role in the country’s struggle for liberation should not be used as an excuse to create a situation where foreigners are allowed to inconvenience locals. I know you were in their countries during the struggle for liberation. But the fact of the matter is you did not set up businesses in their countries." His comments were widely condemned with the SA DA describing it “highly irresponsible' 'Particularly given the recent spate of xenophobic attacks in South Africa, he should do the right thing – retract and apologise,”

He didn't and his spokesman went on record to say the King had nothing to apologize for, that he meant every word he said.
“I think the people who’re complaining are misinterpreting his speech. He didn’t say foreigners must be attacked or harassed. The king was talking about foreigners who are here illegally. Some are involved in serious crimes like drug and human trafficking. We don’t need such people in our country so the king is right.” His spokesman said After the killing spread across different cities, the king has relented a little and is planning to speak to his people this Monday in an effort to quell the attacks. He's expected to address the public directly and clarify his statement and ask his people to stop the violence which his words started...

Some Nigerians in South Africa have cried out against the xenophobic attacks on Africans in parts of the country.

In separate telephone interviews with SUNDAY PUNCH, the Nigerian migrants expressed their fear of attacks as death threats were being circulated on social media.

Itunu Bodunrin, who on Monday had attended his master’s degree graduation ceremony at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, told our correspondent that he was unable to leave the school campus afterwards due to the violence in the town.

Bodunrin forwarded a text message to our correspondent which, according to him, had been circulated among South African residents via an instant messaging mobile application, WhatsApp.

In the message, signed by several groups, including the Patriotic Movement, Pan Local Forum, Unemployed Workers Forum and Anti-Crime Movement, Nigerians and other African foreigners were warned to leave the country.

It read in part, “Dear neighbour from Africa and other parts of the world, we have travelled the world and have not found one country that allows the floods of humans across its borders as South Africa is experiencing. Even in war-torn parts like Syria, Ukraine, Yemen and Somali.

“We were seven million people in Johannesburg city in 2011. Today, we have an estimated 13 million. In Johannesburg alone, you have taken over entire suburbs: Yeoville, Berea, Bez Valley, Turfontein, among many. You have even moved into rural parts of our country that have 80-per-cent unemployment, and there are no visible signs that you have jobs either.

“We want to be proudly part of the geographic construct called Africa, but we are as different from one another as Kenyans are from Nigerians; Ivorians from Chadians, etc.

“We are pleading with you to return to your home countries. Go and build up those countries so that we can all live in economic, social and political prosperity and peace as neighbours. The genocide in this corner of Africa will be far worse than what happened in Rwanda in 1994. Then the entire continent will be condemned to ashes. Is that what you want?

“South Africans not fully employed or who were found guilty of crimes, were recently repatriated from Nigeria and rightly so.

“Our people are preparing for war against all foreigners (from Bulgaria, Pakistan and Bangladesh to Africa, north of the Limpopo) and we are all very scared. Please go home and build Africa. Millions will die if you don’t. This we can guarantee.”

Similarly, Samson Ojako, a master’s degree student studying Mathematics also at the University of KwaZulu-Natal noted that looting had been rampant for over a week.

“Those that opened their shops were attacked by the Zulu. During all of this, those of us on campus were warned by the school management to stay indoors. They said no one should leave the school premises, especially during the weekend.”

Ojako noted that a large number of Zulus often migrated from their villages into town on weekends in order to launch attacks on non-nationals.

He likened the last one week to life in a refugee camp, saying that those living on campus could not go out to shop for food.

“A lot of people are living in fear, especially the ladies. Even for us who are guys, last week, we had to move in groups,” he said.

Olawale Olawepo, another Nigerian studying for a doctorate degree in Industrial Organisation and Labour Studies said the school authorities also warned students against taking public transportation.

i look at south africa and africa as a whole like this... they have resources which ultimately are valued and owned and controlled by outsiders. the south african elite control south africa from europe and have installed a white supremacist system to control their wealth. they ain't giving up shyt. they control their govt. that's how they pretty much control all african govts. countries that cannot be controlled or sell out, like zimbabwe, must be oppressed..

Keep believing Esau. Why were the people sold called Negroes instead of Africans? Those people know they were not selling their own people. The Dahomey Empire was the main slave trading empire in Benin and they traded rival tribes.

They did not trade their own people. The only reason why today slave trading tribes say that they traded their own people is because they are speaking from a nationality perspective after colonialism ended. Just like the so-called white man says he enslaved his own people in America, when so-called black people were never his people.

But you are too slow to see why they would today say that they traded their own brothers. That "brother" concept is completely nationalistic and stems from independence post colonialism.
