Why does Jay-Z have 12 platinum albums, and 50/nelly/DMX can only sell albums to close friends?

DMX dropped 3 classic albums in a row and fell off due to his own personal demons.. but he just came and went right?

Stick to just making 50 cent sales bait threads cuz u clearly dont know what the fukk youre talking about, but then again you were probably listening to radio disney when DMX was in his prime considering youre a cac who got introduced to rap when Eminem dropped encore.

1) I started listening to rap before you
2) you only listen to one rap group. Your opinion doesn't count

He dropped an album a year for 8 years... How is that "falling back" or "not oversaturating"

Hes only dropping music when hes about to drop an album. You dont hear from him otherwise, no antics, no interviews etc. Hes not like say your lil wayne/50 cent who is everywhere at all the same time.

If Drake keeps up this sheer level of volume he too will oversaturate.

because he's the GOAT :king:

Jay-Z is not better than Drake:sitdown:

Jay-Z doesnt make better music than Rick Ross:sitdown:

Pound for pound Jay-Z should not be named in the same sentence as Kanye West artistically.

Where the goat beard i dont see it:sitdown:

1) U dont know when I started listening to rap
2) Thats funny considering I only like 3 rappers out of that group and I listen to Kendrick, Dizzy Wright and J Cole more than all 3 of them these days
3) You only listen to artists who sell records so you can compare them to the rapper youre obsessed with in your troll bait threads

He's a great marketer and understands the value of promoting yourself as a brand and not an artist :yeshrug:

I keep hearing the arguments that he dikkrides, while true in some instances, he also inspires other artists by setting trends so it's a give-get relationship.

Plenty of veteran rappers do songs and collaborations with newer artists...but for some reason on The Coli, Jay is the only that gets flack.

:umad: that his shyt is hot and is still selling:laff:

blueprint 3 and mchg was garbage compared to his early shyt, wtf????

Its more nas stan propaganda.

the way they talk you think jay would have A few trap albums and shyt.

Sure he was on jeezy and ross debuts but they were on his label at the time and it benefited them more.

Jeezy didn't make a hov album til 4 years after the verse and it took ross 7 yrs. Him being on like 4 ross albums benefits ross.

He was on j coles debut..again his artist

He did have drake on bp3 as he was buzzing but drake had hov on his album earlier that year

They act like their hero didnt work with dr dre and ginuwine and diddy
