Why isn't Donovan Mitchell the Rookie of the Year over Ben Simmons?

No Embiid, no Saric, on the road in Charlotte

Simmons still posts a 20-8-15 in 27 minutes in a 17 point blowout.

It's not a discussion. It never has been. Ben Simmons is the rookie of the year.
It was tight for a while, but Simmons is going crazy now.
Not as long as Mitchell keeps putting up 25-30 shots to score 20 pts

Silly putty numbers...

You don't want to speak on the games Philly lost this year because their offense becomes vanilla in tight spots...Embiid, contested 3 or bust...

The sixers should have won 55 games this year

They were projected to win 43 games by Vegas. They're one of the youngest teams in the league. Nobody expected them to jump from 30 to 55 wins.

I get that...sort of like Indy was projected to be bottom of the barrel...Once you realize what you have you adapt to your new reality. We're in the fancy numbers era so I don't care about that. What I know is Ben Simmons doesn't offer you this off the world talent that offsets him being a liability in winning time. Donovan Mitchell is an asset when shyt gets thick

Pacers's O/U this season was 31.5. Hardly bottom of the barrel.

Again, teams aren't ever expected to just jump 25 wins in a year, young ones especially. And while he's hit a couple clutch jumpers, Mitchell has chucked them out of some games too. I just don't see how this is a discussion. Mitchell literally does one thing only better than Simmons, who's having a historic season.

a way to think about it is this

if you swapped reliable scoring for triple doubles what would happen¿

we see that triple doubles don't equal wins word to :youngsabo:

swap dondada for bum

i see the 6ers still competing based on amount of talent & the jazz falling off without a premier gunner to get them buckets
