Stop it.You replace any top PG in the league right now with Nash and that team becomes a championship contender.
I doubt Rose is stopping Parker. Rose has barely had to defend any good guards in the playoffs. In '09 Rondo averaged nearly a triple double that series. And in '11 Teague averaged 14 on 53%. So what will make a prime Parker do worse? rose isnt a stopper.
)
Nash was the system.

He was a perfect fit for the system, he wasnt the system. Lin, Kendall Marshall and others
put up numbers in that system. Prime marion and amare were perfect fits too. You can also go back and see how other PGs fared under Don Nelson and Gentry. Youll find some of their best seasons.
How would nash look playing defense for thibs and kicking out to ronnie brewer?![]()
yea? how'd those guys do with it? they lead their teams to the best regular season record in the league? or the playoffs? or the conference finals?
and amare didn't even play in the 05-06 season. he was injured. dude said "boris diaw? no problem". still won MVP, still led them to 1st in their division... still led them to the conference finals.
Lol like diaw is a scrub. Pretty sure he got a ring before nash and amare as a key player
Seriously, do a little hwk on basketball reference on don nelson teams which is what nash played under and d'antoni system was very similar with. All the way back to marques johnson averaging over 20 a game with the bucks, timmy hardaway in Run TMC...shyt even sarunas marciulonis scored 19 a game in 29 mpg off the bench for nelson with the warriors. Devin harris was only useful under nelson, baron davis revived his career and the list goes on ad infinitum. If u dont understand how these styles of play inflate offensive stats then idk what to tell u. Im out.
i don't give a fukk about stats, i give a fukk about results.
what the fukk did baron davis and devin harris ever accomplish compared to steve nash???

Jeremy Lin looked like an MVP under Mike D'Antoni
That's all that I will say here
