the western conference alone was 10x harder than the east

u play teams out west for 6 and 7 games for 3 rounds, u are totally beat down before u get to the finals.

I think the 09' Orlando would beat the '12 OKC. They held LeBron back and he's worth Durant and Westbrook together. They'd beat OKC.

The '10 Celtics and the '13 Spurs would be a wild series. Pretty evenly matched.

The Thunder beat that Magic team with ease, they didn't hold LeBron back, he averaged 38.5ppg, 8rpg, 8apg on 49% shooting, the Cavs just couldn't defend them. Durant would murder them, and Westbrook especially would be a huge matchup issue, that Magic team had Rafer Alston starting for most of their playoff run, and even a healthy Jameer can't match up with


The Thunder put Perkins on Howard, don't send a double and cover shooters, pretty much a wrap.

Are we talking about the teams as they were or with everybody healthy?

Because the Lakers never had a healthy Bynum during their run and Heat haven't always had a healthy D-Wade. Hell Kobe wasn't even healthy during the Lakers last championship run.

I have more respect for 10 squad.

They went to 7 with Houston but the series was never really in doubt. It was one of those series where the team that was CLEARLY better just dikked around with another team and paid for it.

We can debate all we want but the Kobe Lebron Finals is the one that we should have been able to witness at least once. It would finally let the debate be settled on the court like it should be instead of from the fans and the experts. The Heat have played well against the Lakers the last three years since they teamed up and Lebron has always balled when facing the Lakers. But I know with those three seven footers the Lakers had would have gave the Heat all sorts of problems in a seven game series.

To be fair. I didn't see those threads until after I made this one. I wanted to make this thread before the finals were finished, but I thought it was best to wait to see what happened first.
