Smh the minute you get within 30 yards of that hippo if he decides to attack you, you're fukked. They reach top speed in the blink of an eye. Hippos kill more humans every year than sharks, bears, and any other animal out there. Y'all niglets crazy thinking you have a chance against any of those animals. You have a better chance against a male lion.

I think that's bullshyt. I've read that hippos are extremely fast but I've never seen any proof. Every video I've watched - the hippos are slow. If they're so much faster than the fastest humans then why did this random African in the video below outrun one with no problem?

If I had to pick one, I'd choose the gorilla. Im well aware of the attributes of both animals. Both are an instant L essentially but I'd take my chances against the less agile (than a gorilla) hippo. One strike from either is death so nitpicking over the strength of both is stupid. The more intelligent and agile of the two is by far the gorilla so nah, not taking on a gorilla if I can choose. There's only one business end of a pachyderm, not so with a gorilla. Almost all hippo related deaths occur unsuspectingly and in the water, most often at night so I don't care about numbers, just the physical aspects of each animal if I had to choose. I'm not fukking with a gorilla, your'e margin for error is lower (if not considerably so) in comparison to a hippo on land.
