Big surprise, another banger PPV.

Everything was real strong/ruled except Thekla/Hayter, and I have to wonder if Hayter didn't get hurt or at least knocked loopy during that match. It all fell apart after one weird spot, then had a lot of downtime, and never got back on track. Would suck if she got hurt again right after coming back from another injury after coming back from a long lay off.

Thought FTR/Jet Stream starting the show off having not finished the pre show match was really interesting and what was on the main show was just a heavy sprint.

JE vs Bucks was also real strong. Interesting seeing how JE has kept some of their heel tendencies without being tweeners at all. Jungle Jack looked probably the best he's ever looked in the ring tbh. Also curious about a possible Bucks' redemption arc, especially as they've also started talking about retirement, and Kenny's best days physically are behind him and he probably won't be around regularly for more than a couple of years.

THS/The Demand was fun enough. Probably needs to be the end of that storyline.

Fletcher/Briscoe was tremendous. The run that kid has been on in the last year and a half, my goodness. :damn:

Stat/Toni. Them women were workin. Very definitive win for Stat, set up for a match with Mercedes, Toni/Mina to go to the tag division. All good shyt.

Mercedes/Mina also doing work. These two matches and interlocking storylines between them :salute:

Brodido vs Okada/Takeshyta :blessed: Bandido is a fukking breakout star. Brody rules. Okada/vs Takeshyta :blessed:

Hanger and Joey Samoey beat the dogshyt out of each other. The run Joe has had in AEW is nearly 2002-2006 run. Absolutely wild considering how fukking dead he seemed by the Hogan era of TNA. Even his rebirth in NXT/WWE is nothing compared to what he's done in AEW. It's almost Tenryu-esque run.

Mox/Darby, idk. I'm worried about Darby. That guy keeps pushing it more and more and I don't know how much farther he can take it. I don't think the aquarium spot was really that big of a deal. That's a pretty safe thing all things considered. It's the insane bumps he takes every match. And he seems to always be going for something crazier and crazier. I'm not sure how much crazier he can get and he's only 32. At the time I was 32, I was absolutely shredded and broke a single tiny bone in my back on a simple lift and have never been the same. Earlier this year at 37, I got hit by a car on a bike 6 months ago and my skin and mind has not recovered from the physical trauma. The body did after a week or so. I'm also not taking regular bumps, let alone the insane bumps he takes every match. In fact I had a fall in the house this maybe a month ago and think I broke a fukking rib :why:

I don't worry too much about Mox. He does wild cut and blood stuff but not bump stuff. Even that spiked bat spot was not as actually damaging as the regular bumps Darby takes against anyone. The big bumps are way, way more damaging to the entire system than cuts on the forehead and bleeding. That insane lack of care for the physical body is Darby's whole thing and sets him apart, but little fella, you can take it a little easier sometimes.
