my brothers wife made him buy one thats fully loaded. nikka paid ~60K for it I told him it was dumb decision, he could have bought way better options(used with 5-15k miles) for the same price....

In NJ it's a buyers market so if you're smart you won't get fleeced so badly but my guess is she buried another car into that loan and then got a high interest rate. I always tell people a car in 2025 is a marriage once you say I do, you are committed to it.

She had already rolled over $12k into the Kia…might as well just let it repo at this point and start over..

That wont really fix it. She will still have to pay more than that negative 25k in equity from garnishments. Especially once they add late fees and court costs to the defaulted loan.

The only realy outs are just taking the bullet and payin it off or filing bankruptcy.

True all of that. Imagine paying almost 100k for a Kia SUV…all because she “needed something bigger with more nice features”
