Not a real impressive one and he's a son of a OC, but I get your overall point

Even Bills players knew EJ was trash :wow:

EJ is a project:

NFL COMPARISON
Blaine Gabbert
BOTTOM LINE
As gifted as any quarterback in the class, with a strong arm and good mobility. Scouts appreciate his leadership qualities and toughness (played through his mom's cancer treatments and a broken leg in 2011's Champs Sports Bowl win over Notre Dame), and hope he can improve on his consistency. Manuel has the velocity and mobility teams look for in a project quarterback.

He needs another year and 16 games before we judge him.

you can tell right away if someone has it or not
he doesn.t

i watched geno smith last year and he made throws that i knew he'd have a good career.
I legit felt that with trent, thiught he was thr real deal... but when he git hurt versus arizona he was never the same.

Yep, I remember I was in my dorm complex's computer room doing a final exam paper for my internship when the draft was on last year, I saw the Bills move down. I was like :obama: we either getting Geno or a LB. I'm continuing my paper and turn back to ESPN.com to keep the Bills picked Manuel and I was like :mindblown: :what:, EJ wasn't even considered a 2nd round pick. I thought maybe Marrone/Hackett had a plan along with Whaley, Cobb was their stopgap guy, terrible mistake and things went downhill from there.

should have went with nassib...he knew the offense already same coach and oc

I wanted them to get Geno also and I think EJ is captain check down but Hackett since his first game vs NE last year is all wrong for this team. Dude play calling is so predictable it's crazy. Nikka was running a no huddle offense in the 4th quarter with the lead and 2 good backs. Right then I knew the team was doomed.

Still can't understand the Watkins pick, i like him. But giving up a next year's first is too much. For a team where you can't guarantee a playoff run can't give up a 1st.

I'm feeling a lot of the opinions in here but I officially won't join the gang bang on EJ until it's the regular season and team is like 2-6 and out of contention lol.

My only hope is the light clicks on for him and the defense keeps them in games. Team really needs to develop an offensive identity. They trying to do too much and ending up not doing nothing. Maybe need more shorter drops quicker read routes, more shots taken off play action

word...dis wr class was way 2 deep to do all that. Watkins is good but he is only 6-6'1 like theres only so much he can do. I think evans would have been better for yall than watkins but thats just my opinion. Lots of udfa talent as well. Allen hurns went undrafted and he has been the best rookie wideout out all everyone.

As for EJ...i dont think he is the guy. He is a big kid so I can see how you ge get caught up in his size and seeing him in person could close the deal but the fact that jameis won the ship with the same offense and same weapons says alot about ej.

Geno is gonna end up being the better pro

Knew this was going to happen...

The only thing they talked about when EJ was taken so high was "He really impressed teams in his interviews"

Never a word about his ability to actually play the QB position though...

Straight :russ: at how Jackson was giving him the :beli: with all those checkdown passes...EJ would just be waiting to checkdown to jackson without even looking at any other receiver...soon as he hike the ball he just staring at jackson in the flat like :ld:

Barkley's arm is too weak; Tyler Wilson has been cut; Landry Jones sucks. EJ Manuel had the most potential on paper than any of the players you listed except Glennon and Geno.

peyton manning arm is weak as well :sas1:
tyler wilson was cut because he was injured and the raiders kept mcgloin over him, wilson is still better
yeah landry sucks but so does ej
