The most worrisome thing about EJ manuel for me is that Winston came into FSU his redshirt freshmen year and won the National Championship. Winston performed better than EJ did as a senior. This might indicate EJ lacks talent in which case he needs to go after this season.

During the 2012 season when E.J. Manuel was the FSU quarterback, the offense was a strict half field offense. Manuel was efficient running that system and ended up being the first quarterback selected during the 2013 NFL draft. Manuel was a fifth-year senior and two-year starter. I watched eight games on Manuel and I never once saw him look to the opposite side of the field. He usually had two or three reads all to the play side of the field.

Winston led the Seminoles to a perfect record and national championship last season.
This was not the case in 2013 with Winston at quarterback. Last season, Florida State ran a full field offense for the entire season with Winston making reads to both sides of the field. Having a redshirt freshman run a more complex offense than a veteran did the year before tells you something about Winston’s instincts and his ability to learn and run an offense.

Bills selected 6 captains. EJ was not one of them. :mjlol:

Here's a quote from after the Lions game:

EJ said:
“I got a couple of drops on third downs, but as far as going to the right place with the ball, I thought I did a pretty good job.”

What kinda leader says this after such an obvious shytty performance? :why:

Dude is done. :camby:

Orton is one of the better backups in the league and can actually start now. Remember, the league is different now. Guys like Orton and Hill can beast with the new rules. That's why we're seeing meh QBs putting up decent numbers now.

ej doesnt have that aura, the guy is hesitant and has happy feet. he reminds me of gabbert, ive been forced to watch this trash this whole preseason.

winston is different, ej is a better athlete but hes trying to be a qb, winston is a qb

There's a dude in KC who just got PAID and has had all the same criticisms. EJ can be successful under the right conditions.

Tension between Bills coach Doug Marrone and the team's front office spilled over recently in a loud verbal altercation on the practice field between the head coach and several team officials, according to numerous sources with knowledge of the situation, punctuating what had been a tumultuous preseason for the franchise as it awaits word on new ownership.

The incident began with Marrone, who sources said has had a strained relationship with director of player personnel Jim Monos from their time together in New Orleans, getting into a loud exchange with Monos in which the men were cursing at each other to the point where others noticed ("they were more or less MFing each other," is how one source put it). General manager Doug Whaley then intervened. The expletives continued and finally team president and acting owner Russ Brandon tried to defuse the situation by getting involved in an attempt to get all parties to "shut up," as one source put it. But that too escalated into more yelling and hollering, with Brandon and Marrone ultimately separated by their peers and Marrone, in earshot of players, making remarks along the lines of "go ahead and fire me," before order was restored and the team took the field for practice

:heh: :banderas: Schwartz will be the coach by Week 8

I think Buffalo has a chance at coming in second in the AFC East this year. Don't quote me on it though.

Buffalo doesn't have a first round pick next year right? It's not like they can land Winston or Mariota if EJ doesn't work

hiring marrone as coach was stupid
just because he was from western new york and was cheap as hell the bills hired him

there was nothing wrong with chan gailey dude had scrubs looking great

Did Marrone even have a good college record? If the bills were going to hire a college coach, they should have chosen someone like David Shaw.

If you count college...EJ has just never looked comfortable in any offense, no matter the talent around him or the scheme...

Like...his biggest problem is...you don't really know what his skill set is, so...how do you build around him...

You go and you get a downfield threat like watkins...but can you find 15 plays all last year when EJ threw the ball down field ?

He speaks so well though

I'm not giving get up on EJ yet. I'll give him another 6 games to prove he can be the long term answer. His accuracy needs to be a lot better if he want to keep his job.
