You know how cheap shyt is out there firsthand, now imagine having a location independent job while making $75k a year, you'd be living like upper upper middle class there, basically one step below the rich. But, according to @HookersandIceCream you'd be stupid to do that over living in NYC, I mean who could resist this -

Would the 75K option still allow me live in the Tri State like the suburbs of NYC or North Jersey? If yes, then the 75K option easily.

I would take the 75K to live in the DMV as well, that's my favorite region outside of the Tri State.

I fail to see the problem, if you gonna bring up racism as a point, they ain't shooting black people dead in the streets over there .

And location independence means you can go wherever you want, when you want.

Anyone telling you take $75k don't know wtf they talking about. You don't have to live in NY, maybe some more information on your job and status would be helpful. Take $150 k every day all day.

I been looking in Raleigh and Charlotte, may make a move there, buy a home and rent it out to split life live when it's finally time to jettison the US.

That porch life and "Get off my lawn" living got you talking different.

Raleigh has a lot of crime that goes unreported

Houston is better breh

Houston is too far :francis: even though some of the greatest people alive live there, if I'm going to move far it's going to be out the country.

@Malta do you speak Portuguese ?

I can speak a little, it was much better years ago when I had a reason to speak it.
