I thought this was in Northbrook or close to it. My wife was there last week. Didn't know they(Northbrook and Willowbrook)are on completely different sides
Willowbrook is exactly south of the Oakbrook Mall. Like 4 miles.

Are young Italian American boys aspiring to be in the mob, or is that frowned upon? And look at the gangsters you listed. Are the current ones getting that much attention, and you see groups of Italian boys posing in suits trying to be like them? Even Tony Soprano was admired more by us than them.Who said anything about them making music about their lifestyle? I said it’s glorified. We have numerous movies about the Italian mafia. TV Shows. People look at these gangsters like Capone, Dillinger, Bonnie and Clyde, Gatti, etc with rose colored glasses.
Yeah its crazy to think how far we have come scientifically and technologically yet how backwards we seem to have gone in a lot of others way.Yeah back in wartime of old, you had rules you abided by. Even in medieval time, you could put up a certain flag and come over and talk. And you were protected.

ingly OD with that made men bullcap. Pull they card though and 99 out of 100 times that attitude melts away real quick. But a large segment really actually do glamorize that shyt though.

Definitely white folks. Cause white supremacist shooters usually target large groups of young (probably)armed Black men at 1am. Thats their m.o. Not churches and supermarkets and shyt like that.Nah. This was white folks who did this.
Black folks don’t do this according to the first pages

I never said anything about how they view themselves, and frankly I don't know because I'm not Italian. I'm talking about how society glosses over the old gangsters of the past. It wasn't black people who started glorifying them first. Are young Italian American boys aspiring to be in the mob, or is that frowned upon? And look at the gangsters you listed. So you expect society to view the Italian American population from the lens of the mob, in 2023, when current Italian Americans aren’t glorifying them, and get mad when associated with them, and it’s not part of their current media? Where are the 2023 gangsters? Are they popular? How is society supposed to criticize them when we don’t know who they are?I never said anything about how they view themselves, and frankly I don't know because I'm not Italian. You're being disingenuous. You think black rappers just out of the blue started to promote gangsterism and violence because they thought it was cool? You're not even asking yourself what caused the shift. How did we go from black pride to gangsta and hoeism? There was plenty of positive black music that people consumed back in the day. The artistry didn't stop. It's the people pulling the strings that make sure only a certain type of product is put out there. So you expect society to view the Italian American population from the lens of the mob, in 2023, when current Italian Americans aren’t glorifying them, and get mad when associated with them, and it’s not part of their current media? This isn’t an apples to apples comparison. No other group in America is making crime a core part of their entertainment, so they aren’t going to be associated with it. You can blame the record labels all you want, but we listen to it, and support it

Definitely done by a white boy. nikkas ain’t just randomly shooting shyt up for the most part unless they got some opps there or something. Highly doubt it was some nikkas on that type time at a Juneteenth celebration
