No he hasnt...he needed pitching,he did nothing about it...Thats not a good job.
It may have been 20 yrs but the Jays are so far down on the list of mattering to me anymore i really dont care if it had been 50 yrs...trust me they in 1st barely right now i KNOW this team will die when we get to August,you can already see it...
AA got mad lucky all those Met prospects having issues on the surface it was a horrible deal and even the halladay deal from 5 yrs ago has yielded NOTHING...
He should be getting alot more hate for not adding a pitcher in the off season...
AA walked into a mess, he had zero choice with the Halladay trade. Roy wanted out and from what I remember, Philly is the only place he would sign an extension. Jays weren't gonna play hardball with Roy either. They got 2 top Philly prospects at the time and D'arnaud, who might flop but had trade value.
I was mad about not adding a pitcher but Rogers didn't want to spend, and Santana screwed the Jays. Would you be cool with trading Stroman and Sanchez for Samardizja? I would rather keep them and build a rotation for the future. Try and get a #3 at the deadline if they can for a decent price.
Jays need to stay in the race and get the fans excited. More revenue... maybe Rogers spends an extra 15-20 mill for a star pitcher. Bring back Melky too. Reyes/Melky/Bautista/EE/Lind is a deadly top 5.
