around like 2010 when EDM blew up and people started incorporating that electro sound but in a very cheesy way

I don't really see people hating on it, so not its not underrated.
solid decade on the overall. just not much of it was spectacular. its never gonna be mentioned with the 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s.

with that said, i halfway agree with you.
I think Aaliyah's death ruined r&b. cuz after she died, they hyped her up like she was whitney or Aretha or somebody.
and the next crop came up watching the hype, and patterned themselves after her blueprint.
