damn you came up right when the golden era ended...no wonder you think the 00s was better.
Well I think the 90's is better than the 2000's, just not the 80's.

A troll thread why?this a troll thread huh?
The 80s is a mix bag when it comes to rap music because it was still in its infancy but it started to hit its stride in 87 after the year of the Hip Hop single(1986). 87-96 in rap music is like 65-74 in Soul/Funk/R&B. The best eras in their respective genres.Well I think the 90's is better than the 2000's, just not the 80's.

In music it's not close the 80s is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better but television you may have a case...especially dramas. 80s dramas were corn compared to the 00s.A troll thread why?
Tell me why the 2000s(particularly 2000-2006) cant match up with the 80s?
u need to step your 80s music game up ...you'll thank me later.only good things about the 80s were grandmaster flash MJ and chaka khan
is lionel richie even black?
or Dancing on the Ceiling era Lionel
era of Disco. Check my eariler post for examples. The mid 80s had MJ and Prince but also had that beige period of safe adult contemporary music. Very watered down. They hated Rap, but rap music was starting to come into it's on with Run DMC and LL and then late 80s brought us the golden era of rap music and new jack swing came thru to give R&B some new life. Black music was just much better in the 80s than the 00s plus rap music hadn't completely sold itself to the devil yet.yeah the early and mid 80s you had that instruments meet electronics combo that they experimented with in the 70s. By the 80s it was on full blast. By the late 80s they were no longer any big bands. Cameo got cut down to 3 in the mid 80s90's/80's would have been a better comparison.
90's is the best period for rap, but in terms of black music as a whole some of the music that came out in the 80's is the quite frankly incredible.

no its not.90's/80's would have been a better comparison.
