Well I think the 90's is better than the 2000's, just not the 80's.
The 80s is a mix bag when it comes to rap music because it was still in its infancy but it started to hit its stride in 87 after the year of the Hip Hop single(1986). 87-96 in rap music is like 65-74 in Soul/Funk/R&B. The best eras in their respective genres.

2010s has the worst fashion. The fukk you niccas wearin, and especially da fukk are these young women wearing.

80s rap wins easily. Not many classics for that entire decade, while the 80s has plenty of classics in the back half alone

80s R&B? LOL. Every single year of the 80s destroys the entire decade of the 2000s. Lookin back at the charts for the 80s, that competition was fierce

I can't disagree. 87 is really the year everything started to happen.

A troll thread why?
Tell me why the 2000s(particularly 2000-2006) cant match up with the 80s?
In music it's not close the 80s is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better but television you may have a case...especially dramas. 80s dramas were corn compared to the 00s.

I still find it funny how people take OPs troll threads seriously.

u need to step your 80s music game up ...you'll thank me later.
Depends on which Lionel when it comes to music...Can't Slow Down Lionel era:banderas: or Dancing on the Ceiling era Lionel:camby:

The early 80s Boogie/Funk/R&B period was dope ass fuc after the :huhldup:era of Disco. Check my eariler post for examples. The mid 80s had MJ and Prince but also had that beige period of safe adult contemporary music. Very watered down. They hated Rap, but rap music was starting to come into it's on with Run DMC and LL and then late 80s brought us the golden era of rap music and new jack swing came thru to give R&B some new life. Black music was just much better in the 80s than the 00s plus rap music hadn't completely sold itself to the devil yet.

90's/80's would have been a better comparison.

90's is the best period for rap, but in terms of black music as a whole some of the music that came out in the 80's is the quite frankly incredible.

yeah the early and mid 80s you had that instruments meet electronics combo that they experimented with in the 70s. By the 80s it was on full blast. By the late 80s they were no longer any big bands. Cameo got cut down to 3 in the mid 80s:to:

no its not.
the 80s was not all of that.

Every region produced classic albums/songs in the 2000s.

You cant say thay for the 80s, as far as hip hop goes
