The first time Klay and Kobe played each other, Kobe was 34 years old and Kobe still lit him up for 28 points or more 8 different times throughout their 12 matchups (39pts, 30pts, 40pts, 27pts, 34pts, 36pts, 34pts, 28pts, 44pts).

And again, the average includes seasons where Kobe was old and injured (2014 onward) where he could barely score more than 12 points on him (4pts, 8pts, 12pts). If he gave up that many points to a 34/35 year old Kobe, yall might need to find another option to defend a 23 year old one :aicmon:

Kobe Bryant vs. Klay Thompson | Basketball-Reference.com

Why else do you think @Malta keeping running from my question if he thinks Kyrie is better than Kobe.

Dude is being disingenuous. He knows Kobe would light up Klay. He did it as an old man on his last legs. And for the last two years an inferior version of him as been making Klay Thompson his bytch.

If lil 6'2" Kyrie can do what he's doing right now to Klay, imagine what 22 year old Kobe with his athleticism and skill level could do?

Kobe would make the Warriors double team him every play. And with Shaq on the court with him, that means 3 Lakers would be wide open every single play.

2001 Lakers would butt rape this Warriors team. Zero contest.

22yr old Kobe even had the fadaway from the post like Jordan. 2001 he was considered the most skilled in the game too and he wasn't pyscho yet, lol.

The 01 Lakers averaged 101ppg vs the Sixers in the finals and Derek Fisher was their 3rd option, he poured in 10ppg.

The Lakers had Kobe and Shaq, Kobe averaged 24ppg on 41% vs the Sixers, Shaq averaged 33ppg. The Lakers don't have the weapons outside of Kobe & Shaq to keep pace with the offense of the Warriors, and it wasn't like they were a great defensive team.

Kobe dropped 44 points on Klay as a 36 year old man :dead:

With no lift, a fukked up knee and a torn achilles. Cmon son.

A 2001 Kobe would have been doing 360 dunks and shutting Klay down on the other side of the court :dead:

There's a reason why these two ran through the league.

And the early 2000s was a much stronger era than what we are seeing right now. You had way more loaded teams back then. Especially in the West. The 2000 Blazers were probably the most talented team in NBA history when it came to player 1-12 on the roster (Jermaine O'neal who ended up being a multiple time all-star in Indiana was an inactive player for the Blazers....just think about that). The Spurs had Duncan and Robinson. The Kings had Webber, Bibby, and Peja. The Mavs had Dirk, Nash, and Finley. The Wolves had Garnett, Sprewell, and Cassell for a year or two.

What the Lakers did dominating that loaded era was incredibly impressive. That's what makes Kobe and Shaq the best duo in NBA history.

Warriors in 6. Shaq would be a major problem but i'd imagine they would hack/double/triple team dude everytime he got the ball

Lakers don't have the firepower to keep up.

Shaq give u 35-40. KD would match that.

Kobe give you 25-35. Curry would match that.

Klay and Draymond easily outscoring everyone else and im not even counting livingston, iggy and the rest of the guys that score 5-9 points a game. The Warriors are easily the better and more rounded team and it isn't close. 4 All-NBA players > 2 All-NBA players

If they come out in the death lineup they would score just about every possession with shaq in.

Shaq and Kobe are way better than anyone OKC, I mean GS has :jawalrus:

Kevin Love putting up numbers on these powder puffs :mjlol:

Fish could stick on Steff and force him to drive where Shaq would be waiting inside for the swat, followed by the :scust::mjgrin: look

Same would happen for KD

This aint even fair, Lakers win easily

Nobody stopping Shaq and bean from getting their points

Bron and Kyrie feasting right now :stylin:

Firepower :laff:

I'll take Shaq and Kobe buckets over KD and Steff work.

They won't be popping all game long

Shaq could definitely get his for 4 quarters

Here would be the 4th quarter match-ups

Shaq > Zaza or McGee :laff:
Horry = Dray
Fox < KD
Kobe > Klay :laff:
Fisher < Steff

Fox could defend, Fish as well and like I said before, at least they could close out forcing the drive where Shaq would be waiting

Nothing easy for the Warriors there

Compared to what Shaq and Kobe would do to them

If GS were to go small it only be more of a disaster for them

Kobe driving unchallenged or in the post, Shaq, Horry getting every board.

Just stop lil childrens:therethere:
