This is how nostalgia works right here, look at what he said..... @Jplaya2023 frames this in a way that makes you think Fisher was shooting like Curry or Durant.

Reality, Derek Fisher made 2.2 threes a game for the playoffs, 2. This "unconscious" scorer averaged 13ppg for the playoffs as the 3rd option...

again derek fisher was 15-20 vs the spurs from 3. I didn't try to frame it like anything

Their highest combined average in a series was about 60 against San Antonio in 2001 and New Jersey in 2002. Nobody is averaging 75, and especially not without a three point shot, which LeBron and Irving both have. They'd have to be combining to take 55-60 shots otherwise.

You do realize that getting 40 in a game for Shaq was light work? He could easily put 60 on teams if it was that serious. They were blowing teams out.

They don't have to get into a shootout. But they can still shoot more. Who is dealing with Shaq?
Yes they'd have to. You can't beat them by trying to turn it into a grind fest. They're too fast, they move too well, they defend better than all but one team themselves, and pretty much everyone shoots from deep on this team. Ask the grizzlies how playing 90's ball works in a series against them.

40 a game isn't light work for anyone. Nobody puts up 60 easy either, especially not with the way teams can drop into a zone around a center now. If they didn't have 3-4 shooters on the floor, he's got no room to operate.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Phil isn't going to out coach Steve Kerr? Is this what you wanna run with? c'mon bruh

Kerr is a waste.

Here's what Phil had to say 2 years ago -

That's a look into the mind of the person you're saying would be coaching against the best shooting team of all time. He said that, rhen a few weeks later the 4 best shooting teams were left in the playoffs, with the two best playing in the finals.

Phil would stick with the triangle, just like he did when the Pistons were killing them guarding Shaq without help, he had no counter to that when the opposing team just decided "fukk it, we can guard everyone else, no double for Shaq".

Bruh, the Pistons had bodies to throw at Shaq. A lot of bodies. Who are the Warriors throwing at him to stop him from getting off? So you throw Zaza at him and then Javelle. Shaq eats them up and they leave in foul trouble. Now what? Draymond? Show me the path..

:wtf:

This Cavs team is better than the 2001 Spurs, the fukk are you talking about? They had Antonio Daniels, Terry Porter and Danny Ferry starting with Duncan and Robinson. Robinson was 35, Ferry was 34 and Porter was 37 :camby:

Cot damn man, you overrate the shyt out of everything from the past.

The 01 Lakers averaged 101ppg vs the Sixers in the finals and Derek Fisher was their 3rd option, he poured in 10ppg.

The Lakers had Kobe and Shaq, Kobe averaged 24ppg on 41% vs the Sixers, Shaq averaged 33ppg. The Lakers don't have the weapons outside of Kobe & Shaq to keep pace with the offense of the Warriors, and it wasn't like they were a great defensive team.

This is why It's not good to just study a Stat sheet and make your conclusions from there

So you think Warriors would be able to run a fast pace offense against the 2001 Lakers :laff::laff::laff:

In the 2016 Finals, Warriors had their offense slowed down by the Cavs with their post presence of Thompson and Love :dead:

You think it's that easy for any team to generate a fast pace? Elite half court teams put a stop to that. What did the Rockets do when they came up against the Spurs? What did the Warriors do in game 1 against the Spurs before Kawhai's injury?

- How did the fast pace Nets look like in 2002 when they went up against the Lakers?
- How would the putrid Warriors front line look like after prime Shaq is done with them?

Warriors fans I tell ya :dead:

I'm just waiting for the day the 2002 nets get that hype job. It ain't far off from now. In the last year I've seen guys prop up the 1997 hawks and the 1996 heat.

Yall stay making shyt up as you go, the Pistons first big off the bench was 35 year old Elden Campbell. They had Sheed, Ben and Elden take the majority of the minutes, Okur would get 10 a game mostly when Shaq was off the floor.

He didn't have to. He put up 30 and 15 in their 2001 Finals run without breaking a sweat and this was against big men who could defend. It was light work.

So, he didn't score 60pts in any playoff game, but you're saying he'd do it easy even though he never did?

The Lakers scored 101ppg vs the Sixers in 2001, at bare minimum to beat the Warriors you need to go over 110, where is the extra scoring outside of Shaq and Kobe coming from?
