The 2008 piston won more games than the 2004 one too.

Y'all need to stop acting the the pistons we're done in 08 when they had the 2nd best record in the league

One again, Sheed only played a 1/3rd of the Piston's season and we all know april is garbage time.

The Pistons were done after 06 and any Pistons fan would tell you they were treadmill regular season team once Chauncey started struggling with injuries and turnover problems there after.

Billups > Rondo

Allen > Rip

Pierce > Tayshaun

KG tied with Sheed

Wallace > perkins

This is a dead even matchup honestly, I gotta go with Detroit though, because they were locked in defensively. Their starting five IMO were great defenders.
:what: Sheed was a 4 time all star and 0 time all NBA team member with 0 all defensive teams. He averaged over 8 rebounds only twice in his career, peaking at 8.2 and averaged about 16 points and 7 rebounds their championship season. Garnett made 15 all star teams, 9 all NBA teams (5 time first team), 12 all defensive teams, won the MVP and the defensive player of the year. Sheed was one of my favorite players and I was a much bigger fan of his than Garnett, but KG was miles better.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
That Celtics team struggled to beat an over the hill Pistons team.

The Celtics never faced a team like the Pistons during their run and teams like 06 Miami and 05 Pistons would have washed them. Pulling away KG away from the rim and Billups beasting on Rondo would make this a blowout.

Beating a team in 6 = Struggling?

Why would KG be away from the rim? He wasn't away from the rim when they played in 08, he would be guarding Ben Wallace :russ:

So now the 06 Heat would beat this Celtics team too? Helllllllllllllllllllllllll no. That is one of the weakest title teams of the last 20 years and they have absolutely nobody to guard KG.

Sheed was a shell of himself in 08.....this is what you're calling analysis? :what:

And yes, the Celtics have no answer for 06 Wade. None. Not Posey nor Allen are doing anything to limit him.

2008 Celtics.

Billups > Rondo
Allen > Hamilton
Pierce > Prince
Garnett > R. Wallace
B. Wallace > Perkins

And the '08 Celtics' bench was stronger than the '04 Pistons' bench.

No, my analysis is based on the fact the two teams had comparable defenses at their best, yet the Celtics had the much better offense :wtf:

How would the Pistons score enough points? The only reason they went 6 in 08 is because their offense got much better (111 ORTG). You're not beating that Celtics team with a putrid offense, you tried to say it was only regular season, when their offense was hot garbage in the playoffs as well.

They had an all-time great defense, but so did the 08 Celtics, so what is the swing? Offense then becomes the difference maker, and the C's had that over them.

:whoa: Don't sleep on them though. The win/loss mark is misleading with Shaq missing 24 games that year. They were 11-13 in the games he missed and 41-17 in the games he played. That projects to 58 wins. The Celtics would probably be a bad matchup for them though.

To be honest, in 2004, it was more like the Lakers lost rather than the Pistons won. :yeshrug:

The Celtics defense is inflated by playing bum defenses
The Pistons offense is devalued because they were still meshing with Sheed
This isn't rocket science
Like I said, Chauncey is the FMVP of that series and the difference with his ability to continually take Rondo into the post. Prince can be left on an island with Pierce or Allen tbh and Pistons can send multiple bodies at KG while playing completely off Rondo.

They would cancel each other out honestly, you really think KG would just wash him?? Not having any all defense doesn't mean he was a slouch on defense
