“They’re not even in the top three,” one league source said of the Celtics.

Furthermore, those sources again stressed that because Timberwolves president Flip Saunders named himself head coach, he is more directly responsible for wins and losses, making it likely he’d prefer proven players over draft picks in a deal.

“They want to win now,” said another league source. “They want to be competitive now, with or without Kevin. These draft picks aren’t going to do that. So if they’re going to move Kevin, they’re going to get two or three guys that can help them win now.”

There’s speculation that Golden State could offer a package including shooting guard Klay Thompson, forward David Lee, while Chicago could offer a package including Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson.

The Nuggets could offer forward Kenneth Faried and forward Wilson Chandler, league sources said.

League sources said all three of those potential offers would be more enticing than a potential Celtics offer that included Jared Sullinger, Kelly Olynyk, Jeff Green, and multiple first-round draft picks.

Said it from the jump after Flip took the gig that he wasn't bout to trade dude for some picks.

roflmao at the proven players, if kevin love can't give you playoffs with that squad then none of these offered players would do this either.

bulls deal is not that good, makes the team have like one of the worst offenses in the league, I believe coach thibbs makes these players look better than they are in reality, as why joakim noah got so overrated this year.

If they really want players then denver and golden state offers(assuming they give klay) should be the best.

Nuggets are going to offer like all of their first rounders for the next 3 years in that trade right?

I would just want Faried, 11th, and 2 future firsts. fukk Chandler and Affalo
why wouldnt you want Afflalo?

SAS said on SportsCenter this morning that the Bulls are Melo #1 non-NYK destination. He also said the Bulls are willing to trade anyone not named Rose, Noah, and Gibson. He mentioned trading Butler specifically.

this is why they didnt get melo the 1st time.

they couldve won the chip back then.
