How many Finals appearances have they had since then again? :umad:

I said they should have traded for Pau last season too. He's a perfect fit.
They wouldn't have gotten past the Spurs regardless. A big man is the missing piece, I thought you would've worked this out by now?

And where are you getting this 'if they amnesty Perkins, they still need to clear $4-5m to sign Gasol' from? :wtf:

The cap is gonna be $63-64 million and they're already at $68 million, not including their draft pick salaries. http://hoopshype.com/salaries/oklahoma_city.htm

Those picks will put them around $70 million. Amnestying Perk will get them to about $61 million. You think Gasol's playing for peanuts?

Morey: it's always a challenging situation during free agency. You are always having to recruit players & there might be current players at current positions, might be people with the current numbers. It's unfortunate that it's often hard to handle. Reality is it's standard practice. When we went after Chris Bosh a few years ago,we had him N Luis)Scola's number. When we went after Dwight Howard he had (Pat) Beverley's number. I get the sensitivity & I hate that it creates some hurt feelings.I don't like that, but that's obviously Carmelo Anthony's number, that's the number he wants. Bottomline, if Carmelo comes Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin have to be traded. It's just math. It's not personal.

OKC have $5m in spending room, below the tax line. Finding a suitor for Perk or amnestying him (which isn't likely) and they'll have enough to get Pau. Gasol knows he ain't getting $10-12m from Chicago, OKC or Miami. If Chicago manage to land Melo - OKC will be able to offer Gasol the most out of all the contenders.

LA's about the only team that can offer him what he wants, out of the franchises that have a realistic chance at signing him.

Honestly believe If LA did offer Kobe that retarded ass contract, Melo and Lebron would be headed to LA

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
Bron is expected to be in Northeast ohio this weekend. He's got some things he's supposed to handle with LRMR.

He's been in contact with the Cavs via Big Z and Rich Paul since late June.

For what it's worth.
