I hate to say this, but if there's any team that got screwed over this off-season, it's the Rockets.

Tried to get Melo

Tried to get Bosh

Settled with Ariza and Parsons.

The more I think about it the more I think the Rockets have to match on Parsons. I wasn't for it initially.

But I think cap wise and asset wise it makes the most sense...without Parsons they have like 10 mill in cap space...they match then they can operate over cap with the MLE, BAE, and their TE.

Plus if they want to do the Morey staple of trying to trade for a star they'll need the Parsons salary to help match (assuming Harden and Howard are untouchable).

I still see the negatives about future cap space...but I'm less convinced in Morey ' s ability to lure free agents than I was...I think matching Parsons and operating over the cap makes us better than last year...and despite a bad end...a four seed in the West with a team that was still gelling last year is nothing to sneeze at.

The 215
Deng and his agent are delusional

they dont want to take a 10mil salary because they will look like jackasses after turning down the Bulls 3 year - 30mil offer
Bascually dude could've got that same deal in the Chi but thought he was going to make 15 or something looks like. He might need to fire his agent like Ben Gordon should have back in the day.

Based off the market as it is, deng is worth more than that this offseason.
Nah and so far other teams agree but he hasn't signed yet so still could be wrong.

If they can't bring in an improvement at multiple positions they should just match Chandler...Even though it's way too much.

I'm 100% sure they match for the simple fact that Morey is an asset guy. He knows he can trade Parsons off for assets. They also according to rumors are floating the idea of playing him at stretch four in small lineups.

10ppg, 14rpg, 3bpg on 68% and 25 years old?

He's definitely getting max.

Yeah he's getting the max.....I'd be shocked if he didn't...Id damn sure give it to him depending on my teams situation...I always like him More than Hibbert.

nikka, they can get Kevin Love lol. Why do all that when you can have a proven all-star? lol

This ain't 2K where you can just load your team with offensive players and kill it. Cavs need defense badly which is the one sure thing people think Wiggins can give the team. If you ship him off Lebron is going to be the team's only wing defender which is part of what he's trying to avoid. If you want to win you want to be able to preserve Lebron's legs as much as possible. Especially considering both Kyrie and Love are huge negative defenders.

Exactly...even the showtime Lakers had defenders.
