By far my biggest problem with him is that he has no motor. He plays like he's dying to be a role player (almost Barnes like) and if he shows that in the pros I hope he's gone before the rest of the league figures that out

How you feel bout this Thad Young trade. Seems like yall coming out of this situation pretty well.
I've been saying this since the first time I saw him play. He reminds me of guys like Harrison Barnes & Jeff Green, talented as fukk but no killer instinct. Even though it's clear he's at his best when he's playing aggressive, too many games where he just drifts away, like he doesn't even care if he touches the ball.
As a Celtic fan we cherish the 10 games in the season where Jeff Green decides to play aggressive

Why the hell did they give up the Miami pick too for a guy in the last year of his contract

You have to keep in mind, Flip can't sell rebuilding to this fanbase without personally taking a massive L financially. They've been sold on potential and blueprints and upside and picks for 10 years. Besides, Flip would look like a fool for volunteering to coach a rebuilding team when he didn't have to. He coulda just made Sam Mitchell or his own son a sacrificial lamb and waited for improvement.
