U might be right about swaggy but I think we need somebody explosive at the 2 guard. Deng is cool but we still need a play market at the 2
I think Chicago would be too much of a skeleton crew after the players they'd have to unload for Melo. Thibs isn't afraid of playing his guys 45 minutes a night and if Rose goes down, Melo's basically back on the Knicks.
I think Houston is missing that "it" factor with Harden and Howard. They'd be really thin too with next to no quality depth beyond Melo, Harden and Howard. Plus, McHale is the coach.
LA and Dallas would have the deepest rosters with Melo, so I think those two are the favorites. Call me a homer, but point out where I'm wrong.

Who would Chicago have to unload? Taj, Dunleavy, Mirotic and Boozer? A core of healthy Rose, Noah, Butler and McDermott still nice tho but you right if you Rose goes down, he's pretty much going have to do all the scoring.

Dallas is a darkhorse especially with Cuban but I don't see Melo going to Dallas to play with Chandler and Felton. Monta and Dirk could appease him though.
With Lakers, he obviously gets to play in LA and he gets to play with Bean but I think we would have to make another major move to be on the top of the list. We can let him pick the coach I guess

LA might need one more move, but even without one, the scoring burden in LA would be far less than anywhere else. Kobe, Gasol, Randle, Young, Henry and Farmar can all create their own shot or for others. There wouldn't be the night in and night out pressure for Melo to do everything. In two years Kobe comes off the books too, so they're gonna have at least an extra $25 million to throw around to surround Melo with more players when he's 32 and Randle could possibly be a major force down low.

Melo should go to Dallas for a few seasons. That team could give anybody out West some problems.
with the Mavs saying they aren't giving the max I wouldn't even take them seriously.They will get free agents and will improve their team but not a star.
