I would get excited but he also said we were the front runners to get lebron

Grain of salt breh

I cant trust Broussard though , I just cant

Still not getting my hopes up in anyway. Expecting Mirotic, and a Trevor Ariza type signing.

Exactly. The only reason I have more optimism now compared to 2010 is noah been recruiting melo for months and he's interested in playing for thibs broussard has NO credibility to me

Im hoping Phil Jax's relationship with Paxson somehow plays in our favor as well if this comes down to a sign/trade situation where we need to outbid Houston

Once again as a Bulls fan I'm much higher on Love than Melo. Melo will end up changing our team for the worst, especially if he can't pick up the slack defensively. We'll lose our best wing defender and replace him with a guy that couldn't give a single fukk about defense

Wouldnt you have the same concerns if Love replaced Taj ?

Lmao @ that Simmons bullshyt. He's the absolute worst with his hypothetical scenarios.

If Broussard is saying Melo is going to Chicago, I'm crossing them off the list.

Theoretically yes, but the difference is that we have the defensive player of the year covering for Love and cleaning up his possible mistakes. Love atleast doesn't give up offensive boards, and he's going to make it easier for Noah offensively so I think that would be a perfect fit. Meanwhile Melo would be a huge hole in the defense and without Butler we wouldn't be able to plug that hole

I'm gonna go out on a limb and piggyback that LeBron/Jax thread for a ridiculous prediction:

LA deals the 7th pick and Nash for a mid-late first or a cheap veteran. They then use the extra cap space to pair up LeBron and Melo with Jax as coach. The role players from last year including Pau are brought back up to the luxury tax (possibly over since they'd be rolling in money).

Yes, I know there's a .01% chance of this happening, but I wanted to throw an outlandish, but not impossible scenario out there for the Lakers. :pachaha:

Why would the bulls lose their best wing defender?

The Celtics' pursuit of Kevin Love isn't as hot as reports are indicating.

Sources close to the situation have told the Herald that Boston's offer of draft picks and players isn’t nearly the best the Timberwolves have received — or expect to receive — for their All-Star forward.

The Celtics are willing to discuss a number of options, but none of them includes the quality of player with NBA experience that Minnesota is seeking or believes it can get elsewhere.

One source indicated Denver and Golden State have both made more intriguing offers, and there are other teams very much in the picture, as well. There have been conflicting reports on whether the Warriors would make Klay Thompson available, but the Wolves are said to be confident they can find a more than acceptable deal there.

The Knicks were ranked fifth defensively a couple years ago

The Bulls were ranked second with Augustin and Dunleavy playing significant minutes
