The 10th isn't in play here. In what universe do we trade the rookie of the year to move up 3 spots and take Nash's contract.

Look it up. Also the 10th is in play because of some league rule where a team can't go two years without first round picks. The Lakers have no first rounder next year therefore if they trade their 7th they need to receive a first rounder from philly either this year or next year

If I'm Philly I wouldn't do this . giving up the rookie of the year to move up just 3 spots is crazy unless they are trying to trade their picks afterwards to Cleveland to move up to #1

If Minny really wants Klay, why not just wait until next offseason to give him a max offer sheet? They could get assets from trading Love to somewhere like BOS instead, providing even more for them to build with

That's not what would happen. Lakers would pick Gordon on our behalf and trade him to us along with Nash for mcw and maybe thad. The 10th pick isn't being traded

This is a good move for Philly. That way they get get someone like Randle and Exum.
