The real question is whether or not Embiid will be there at 5. Cavs may have leaked the info to get Philly to offer more for Wiggins..

Either way, you're in the driver seat, you take Parker and the Jazz offer up a ton, you take Wiggins and the Sixers may offer 3+10.

I think the Jazz would be more likely to deal, Sixers seem like they have a consolation prize in Exum, where as the Jazz don't really want anyone at 5. At the end of the day, if the Cavs really want Embiid he's there at 3, and possibly there at 5 + a laundry list of assets.

You keep Parker and you have quite possibly the worst 1-3 defensive unit in basketball with zero shotblocking at the rim

It's not hard to understand. Utah understands that the players they've been trying to develop have been taking to long to do so, and they may not pan out. Instead of making a long-term investment in them, they decide to blow it up and change the dynamic of their team in order to invent a brand new identity as a franchise. This way, you potentially have a team built around Burke and Parker + seasoned vets which can pay off and become quite exciting, even if short of more than a few playoff berths.
