They want Lowry to be something of a Rondo role.

What's going to actually happen is that Lowry will be a mediocre spot up shooter for them just like Cole and Chalmers and LeBron/Melo will ballhog possessions. It will be very successful in the East until a team can blow up their defense.
If that team gets Melo and Lowry they are unbeatable

Lebron/Melo alone are unbeatable. They would compliment each other perfectly.

won't happen.

Gasol wants to compete for a ring and he said he doesn't want to take a drastic paycut. That would be a dope fit tho.

Like what? Lebron's cons is Melo's pros and visa versa

They are honestly the perfect match for each other.

:rudy: they can't play together. Melo will probably end up becoming a spot up shooter playing with LeBron anyway because LeBron can't play off the ball offensively at an elite level. They will be even worse on the boards because they will have just brought in 2 guards and gotten rid of Bosh, which ALSO means Miami will be shytty defensively. No one will be able to protect the rim, Melo can't play defense at an elite level, and LeBron will have to anchor the team defensively which is something I'm certain he can't do.

A Lowry/:flabbynsick:/Melo/Bron/??? lineup would actually make them worse than Indiana. We talk about how flabby Indiana was but they'll be eatin good off of that undersized lineup, not to mention Spo doesn't have good enough defensive schemes to hide that team's weaknesses. Miami fans shyt on Bosh but he's essential to spacing the floor offensively and making sure lineups work because he can play 5 effectively. It's almost GUARANTEED that whoever they bring in with a salary of less than $7/8 million won't be as versatile as Bosh is.

None of this makes any sense

1, If anything, their rebounding would be better with lebron at the 3, melo at the 4, and a center like birdman.

Melo averaged more rebounds then bosh while having a legit/real center on his team...

2. If you think Lebron would turn Melo into a spot up shooter you dont know basketball. All because he did it with Bosh doesnt mean he would do it with Melo. Bosh said HIMSELF he doesnt like to be in the paint. He avoids it. Melo doesnt. And Melo is a WAY more versatile scorer then Bosh. He can do way more things. So another invalid point

3. Lowry is a very good defender so Lebron would most like only have to guard his position instead of guarding point guards the whole game. This isnt chalmers/cole where they cant do shyt defenseively and lebron has to tire himself guarding a PG like tony parker the whole game. Not to mention if Melo plays for a legit contender(like miami), I think his defense would get better. Especially at the higher level and playing with Lebron

As I said, if Melo and Lebron team up, they would be damn near unbeatable.

You do know Carmelo Anthony averaged more rebounds than Chris Bosh this past season...
