So much fukkery this offseason, Ben Gordon getting 9 mill, Hayward getting the max
They drafted Gordon.
Traded Affalo for nothing.
Then signed Ben Gordon for $9 Million

Jesus .. all you dudes need to look a bit deeper as to what Henny is doing.
1. We have zero outside shooting and we added Gordon who can help with that.
2. We didn't give the guy 9 million per .. its a 2 year deal worth a total of 9 million. (4.5 per)
3. The second year of the deal is a team option, which will more than likely be declined unless he balls the fukk out this year.
4. By not guaranteeing the second year, it allows us to have the money to offer 2 max free agents next Summer.
5. Scoring was gonna be an issue this year, and if he can stay healthy, he'll be able to help with that.

Bad trade on the Afflalo front, I give you that... but Henny likes Evan Fournier (who he got back for Afflalo.)
He's trying to get younger and he's doing that. Gordon's gonna be a 1 year stop gap. Period.
As for our draft .. time will tell. I loved it. Just about every single commentator and writer loved it too .. so maybe you should relax and see what happens?
Here's the answer to 1, 2, 3 and 5 - Should have kept Afflalo if that's the case.
Answer to 4. - You would have room for 2 max deals next summer even with Afflalo, and most importantly max money is great when there are actual max players on the market, have you taken a look at the 2015 free agency list? Kevin Love would be the best player available and there's a very good chance he's traded and signs an extension before it even comes to that.
After Kevin Love there is a huge dropoff, especially now that Kyrie signed his extension.

Fair enough .. but max players can be brought in, in other way. We can bring some in through trade (since we'd be able to absorb their contracts without going over). Also ..I wont front. I really wish we'd gotten more for Afflalo, but who's to say all of those trades that were rumored to be available pre draft ever truly were? Henny tried Oladipo at the 1 and failed. Afflalo would have stunted his growth, so Henny moved him. We need 'Dipo to break out and this was the only way it was going to happen. I dont like the trade, but we're gonna have to live with it. Who knows.. maybe Fournier balls out?
