I was just intrigued by the idea of turning western conference into even more competitive, could have been almost like a big 4 in there.
I don't think that was necessarily a bad move then, if they really wanted to keep him. Yeah, they could have had him on the cheap for 1 more year, but them ran the risk of not having him anymore after that. I don't know how it would effect their cap flexibility next year if they let him walk though. Who's out there next year?
