Essentially I want to know what you do consider a championship team so I can compare that team to what I think the Knicks roster would look like in 2016.
Now, even though I do think a team w/ Gasol & Melo can come out of the East and potentially make the Finals a real competition w/ the West, I will concede they wouldn't be a "LOCK". All I am doing is playing Chess breh...
No way Phil Jackson just started playing the game and thinks w/ this current roster make-up he can make one move and then "checkmate". That would have only happened if Bron was in play. He's not. All I can do is think of the best move for next year. I think it is Monroe or Gasol. And that's the biggest individual move we could make next year.
EDIT: Also, can you think of a move that the Knicks can make that would be "championship team"?

I don't know I'm not too worried about the Knicks but I do know that Gasol and Anthony isn't going to get it done. Even with role players I don't see it with just them tow being the main pieces unless you getting a ton of Manu type dudes at different positions. Apparently you are a Knicks fan so you getting defensive I'm not and don't care just don't see them two as the cornerstone to a chip. Now maybe if they add Rondo yeah but outside of that Melo Gasol and avg role players isn't cutting it for the foreseeable future.
