Thing at WR is that only 2 are worthy
Watkins and Evans can be game changers as they are ballhawks
Evans made Manziel not the other way around
If one of those 2 are on the board we have to
otherwise I dont want a WR at 15

Mosley is my #1 but he wont be there
Not unless he makes it past both Detroit and Buffalo

With the big 3 at OT not disappointing
I would be shocked if at least 2 if not all 3 are gone by 15
This will directly effect some teams picks
and if this happens then Mosley falls to us

If one of the big 3 tackles are available at 15 while Evans, Mosley and Watkins are off the board
we have to go there

or
Trade down -5 slots for a 2nd or 3rd

I just dont see there being worthy safetys or corners that value at 15 that we wont be able to get in the 2nd round

There isn't defensive player (at a position we need) that is worth a top 15 pick. IMO if one of those WR's aren't available, trade down and get another pick in the second where you get a lower receiver along with your defensive back and an offensive lineman. If we don't get a receiver ain't no reason to stay at 15

NYC (but PGH will forever be home)
Quite honestly, I would be happy with anyone save for that whale Louis Nix and his bum knee's...

If we have the opportunity to take one of the better big WR's at 1.15, you absolutely have to:yeshrug:. Especially with the Ravens looking to grab an WR also...:lupe:

Y'all hating on Steve Mac but yet our opponents only averaged 2.19 YPC with him on the field at NT
thats a damn good number regardless of how you look at it

Moving forward to the draft/combine

Only 4 players I want at 15
#1 would be Mosley but thats not happening
the drop-off after him at MLB is too much for a #15
and he is even considered a gamble by some

WR is going to be interesting come draft day
Tampa Bay is gonna be key
We know the Rams are taking one
but they have picks at 2 and 13

The interesting thing is the 2nd pick
Id trade it for a 4-7 spot while picking up another 2nd if I were the Rams
Clowney is to me the most overrated player in the draft
a lot of people have him going to the Rams but that makes zero sense with the Rams dline being good
They have to go Oline to protect Sam Bradford here then WR at 13

Tampa Bay will also potentially grab a WR if they dont get on in Free Agency.
But with Lovie being defensive minded I really think they might go DE/OLB
They also will have the fortune of no Olineman being picked yet so they will have the pick of the litter
there are 3 great tackles on the board for them

At WR there are only 2 WRs I really want at 15
Watkins and Evans
I will still hold out hope that Marquies Lee is selected earlier than expected by one of these teams leaving us at least Evans

Im not high on going Dline, or DB at 15
Save it for the 2nd and 4th

Unnecessary hatred towards McClendon at NT because he isnt the same 'fat b*stard' mold that Big Snack was.... But in todays NFL, those Casey Hampton type of NT's arent as valuable b/c they come off the field on 3rd down and could never keep up with the no huddle offenses..

The way Louis Nix is being talked about, it's like he has all the Pros & Cons of Casey Hampton.

Telvin Smith from FSU put up the 2nd fastest time for LBs. They are comparing him to Kam Chancellor but quicker based on his 40 time & they're saying he's a Day 2 pick. If so, I'd say let's get him & have him convert into that SS.

Christian Jones is another interesting choice at LB, he played OLB, ILB & DE while at FSU, projected as another Day 2 pick.

And being a Buckeye fan, I'm a little biased for Ryan Shazier lol

I am still pretty indifferent to what is going to happen to Worilds...

I wanna keep him- I just dont think he is worth elite OLB $$$

Woodley is solid- but that boy aint never healthy...

This situation literally got me looking like:lupe:

Let Woodley bounce. Dude is one of my favs but he's injured too often and someone is going to pay him big money for the potential.

Heath and Troy both signed three year extentions today which I'm sure gave us some more cap room, I know someone will post the news but good to see Heath getting what he deserves because IMO he's a top 10 TE when he can stay healthy and I don't think anyone wanted to see Troy in a different uniform especially after the season he just had. So far so good this off season in my book.

I like Foote just because of his leadership in the locker room but I see we finally getting back to Steelers way and cutting players who are a problem to our cap. What are numbers looking like?

fukk foote, he's been taking up space, cap-wise and theoretically for years. he was washed up when we let him the walk the first, but of course we brought his corpse back years later for dikk's "super hard to learn" defense...

brown was a long shot when we traded for him and it immediately was a failure. don't really care about curtis brown to say anything more.

not sure about the worilds transition tag and paying him that dough though, i woulda let him walk and drafted a LB but :yeshrug:
