I like it. Provides good depth at ILB and OLB

Yeah, I could honestly see Moats starting next to Timmons though. I like Vince Williams, but I think Moats has the experience & the skill to play the position better.

As far as MJD, I think it's going to come down to us & New England. He's going to want to go to a team that can compete & a team where he can possibly start. Bell has it locked over here to he may go to New England. We have Blount on deck for Friday,....

We get a 3rd, 5th and a 6th comp pick this year... Our 3rd comp pick (97th) is the highest of the comp picks given out this year

This puts our total draft count at 9 :blessed:

Pretty dope considering how deep this draft is going to be:ehh:

yeah, i think we shoulda got a 4th for lewis but fukk it the NFL thought he wasn't good enough which is a joke so whatever.

i hope we package two picks and move up in the draft and grab a player that can make difference, i'm tired of drafting late rounders that get cut and can't even make the practice squad.

I agree

We've done a good job with getting warm bodies and building up depth (except at CB and RB)- but now I think we need PLAYMAKERS.

QB- All set
OL- All set
(I think Munchak gets these guys in line)
RB- 1 person for depth
WR- Only need a playmaker
TE- Only need a playmaker
DE-Need a playmaker AND some depth
LB- Only need a Playmaker
CB- Need a playmaker AND some depth
S- All set

We can probably address RB in FA for cheap, which makes it imperative that whoever we draft is ready to play now rather than some project. I would suggest we bundle some later picks and try to acquire a 3rd.. But I would MUCH rather give up picks to go up rather than trading down :manny:

If we go DL in the 1st Rd I'll be pissed
Wait till the 2nd if you do
Any picks 15 and lower need to be game changers in there minds
If Mike Evans in there at 15 we gotta swoop still
Lance Moore is a short term option Cedric Wilson like
I still like Mosely at 15 if he is available over everything
I dont know about you brehs but Beacham(FSU WR) isnt worthy of a top 15 pick
If they really want him, trade down 5 spots and grab another late 2nd to get him around 20
He will be the 5th WR off the board
I'm happy for the 1st time with free agency
that tells you how shytty our FA periods have been
Now draft for spot fillers that can start in 2015

Former New England Patriots veteran free agent running back LeGarrette Blount has agreed to a two-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to league sources.

Blount visited the Steelers today.

He drew interest from several teams during free agency, including the Patriots and Baltimore Ravens.

The 6-foot, 250-pound Blount has a powerful running style.

Blount, 27, rushed for 772 yards and seven touchdowns last season for New England.

That included 189 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries in the regular-season finale against the Buffalo Bills.

In a playoff victory over the Indianapolis Colts, Blount rushed for 166 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries.

The former Oregon standout has rushed for 2,711 yards and 20 touchdowns and has averaged 4.7 yards per carry for his career in four NFL seasons.

He has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

As a rookie, he rushed for 1,007 yards and six touchdowns for the Buccaneers

I don't have a problem with taking a look at DHB. He'd be nothing more than a 3rd/4th WR, and maybe working with a quality veteran QB can help him get on track

Brice McCain though :scusthov:

I'm expecting either a Timmons extension or a long-term deal for Worilds to free up some cap space. The longer Ben stays on his current deal the better for the Steelers financially, and I hope they don't extend him as he'll be 34 when his current deal expires

Personally
regardless of what moves we make from this point on out
Im happy
We went from the least productive team in FA
to active and filling in gaps

But Bey is trash
But I guess bringing him in now if no one signs him and someone gets hurt plays well in the long-term

The one thing I'm looking at is WR signings
Britt going to the Rams takes them out of the running for a WR in the 1st rd.
So Mike Evans is all but ours at this point honestly at 15

But I would rather have Mosely at 15 and trade up a few spots in Round 2 to grab Benjamin or a CB

But Evans is a Plex clone with even better measurables
Give Ben what he wants

The way I look at our 1st Rd pick brehs is this
I ask myself
Is this guy Top 10 draft talent
even at 15 with teams filling needs
our pick needs to be top 10 talent

So as of now
there are only 4 people on my 1st rd big board

1. CJ Mosley ILB
2. Mike Evans WR
3. Justin Gilbert CB

If all 3 are gone,
trade down for another 2nd or 3rd
