:mindblown:

Why did you only highlight one part of my statement? I was talking about BOTH sides -

I'm well aware that they had been 'recruiting' him so to speak, prior to the offseason. That still doesn't take away from what I said. If the Warriors did win back-to-back titles, it would've had an impact on Durant's decision just like Barnes ballin out in the Finals would've had an impact on the Warriors pursuing Durant too.

It would've affected both parties - the Warriors pursing and Durant's decision of where he was going. Just because they had been recruiting him during the season doesn't mean they would've gone to the same extent they did do if Barnes ended up having a FMVP performance/being a major factor in them winning a title - Warriors sweeping the Cavs. Priorities would've changed. How hard is for you to comprehend?

Don't you think I already know the Warriors had been 'recruiting' him during the season? :mjlol:

@ghostwriterx :mjpls:
By your own admission the Warriors were going to pursue Durant regardless of whether they win it all or not. It's laughable to suggest their efforts would somehow be lessened if they had won and Barnes balled out (or your boy Steph had showed up:sas2:). You think they were going to go into the meeting like "We don't really care if you come or not" :russell::childplease:Further you have absolutely no idea how the Warriors winning a championship would've effected Durant's decision, you're just speculating, baselessly. You normally have actual evidence to back up what you're saying, in this case you have nada.:ld:

Less speculating and more so working on the notion that winning back-to-back titles with the same group would influence what the Warriors FO would've done -
There's no "facts" to work off here, because all we have to go off is Barnes shytting the bed in the Finals while the Warriors choked away a 3-1 lead - his play and the Warriors losing affected GS's offseason priorities. If he had a FMVP-performance with GS sweeping the Cavs (winning back-to-back titles with this core group), the Warriors would've lent towards retaining Barnes rather than looking elsewhere.

You can stop quoting me now.
You'd be a fool to think that things would've played out as they did if Barnes won FMVP and the Warriors swept Cleveland.

WRONG! What you believe or feel STILL doesn't make it actual truth no matter how many times you duplicate the same remarks over & over. :heh:

"They had him on their mind. He's been on their mind. And it appealed to him. And some of it was text messages, it's a lot of that. But the communication with some of the players in Golden State and Kevin, that's just not just starting now."

Wojnarowski also relayed the following story:

"I talked to Draymond Green earlier in the year. We were talking hypothetically about a big free agent. Hey listen -- what player there (in Golden State) would have more to lose if you were looking at it from a selfish point of view, than Draymond Green? He's the third guy, he's still an All-Star. Well, he'll become the fourth guy with Kevin Durant.

"Are you gonna take four All-Stars from Golden State? If Kevin Durant comes, does Draymond Green remain an All-Star? Maybe he does, but maybe not. Would there be less offense for Draymond? Yeah, there's gonna be less offense for everybody.

"Yet Draymond has been as adamant as anybody, 'If we can get Kevin Durant, let's get Kevin Durant, because you know why? We will win.'"

But of course The Coli should take your personal opinions over well known NBA insiders with all the connections & sources who actually report facts like Broussard, Wojnarowski & others right?

Gonna go play and live in Denver over a $7.5M difference

The whole no state income tax shyt is overblown and I wish people would stop bring it up like it's a big difference maker.

States like Florida and Texas may have no state income tax, but they have a very high sales tax as well as property tax. That definitely makes up for it.

Plus you still have to pay income tax for all the states you play in when going on the road

Wade must be happy as hell he got that offer from DEN...simply for the leverage it gives him now.

Riley better start moving some pieces to solve this puzzle.

Besides the money, can anyone explain to me why Dwayne Wade would want to go to Denver, a team that was a bottom 3 team in the west last season and have not made the playoffs since 2013? :skip:

Why would he stay in Miami? Why take a $10 million paycut to be a 4 seed? If he wants to compete, go to Cleveland. If he wants money, go to Denver. You gonna pass on both of those to live in Miami for an extra 14 months over the next 2 years? Dudes about to retire and live wherever he wants for the next 50 years.

Plus, Denver has the assets to make a superteam

I guess, Denver just seems random to me. They're probably the only team that can offer him the max right now. Milwaukee would be a better team than Denver right now imo. But hey it's all about the muhfukkin money:yeshrug:
