no. Iggy won mvp, and they would've replaced him with Durant easily, no brainer
:dahell:

I'm talking about the most recent Finals. If you can't keep up with the argument, why did you even bother jumping in?

Tell me if Barnes won FMVP (and rightfully deserved it by being the main factor in them winning) and the Warriors swept the Cavs - would this have an influence on what the Warriors would do and what Durant would do? Do you think the Warriors would've been more inclined to keep Barnes and this group together? Do you think that Durant would've been less inclined to join GS if they did win back-to-back titles?

Except they're not.

- I said things would've played out differently (Barnes winning FMVP/being the main factor in them winning + Warriors sweeping Cavs)
- You contested that by saying it wouldn't have influenced either the Warriors FO nor Durant's decisions or actions

If you don't think outcomes as significant as this, don't at the very least influence a team's or player's actions than there's no need for us to continue this discussion.

"Talking in circles" & rehashing the same sentiment STILL doesn't prove or confirm anything that you've stated. So either provide facts from legitimate sources that bolsters your premise & disproves or invalidates the facts I've presented or kick rocks.

Simple!

Don't worry, I'll wait! :sas2:

"They had him on their mind. He's been on their mind. And it appealed to him. And some of it was text messages, it's a lot of that. But the communication with some of the players in Golden State and Kevin, that's just not just starting now."

Wojnarowski also relayed the following story:

"I talked to Draymond Green earlier in the year. We were talking hypothetically about a big free agent. Hey listen -- what player there (in Golden State) would have more to lose if you were looking at it from a selfish point of view, than Draymond Green? He's the third guy, he's still an All-Star. Well, he'll become the fourth guy with Kevin Durant.

"Are you gonna take four All-Stars from Golden State? If Kevin Durant comes, does Draymond Green remain an All-Star? Maybe he does, but maybe not. Would there be less offense for Draymond? Yeah, there's gonna be less offense for everybody.

"Yet Draymond has been as adamant as anybody, 'If we can get Kevin Durant, let's get Kevin Durant, because you know why? We will win.'"

But of course The Coli should take your personal opinions over well known NBA insiders with all the connections & sources who actually report facts like Broussard, Wojnarowski & others right?

:dwillhuh:

Where exactly does the evidence you provided state or imply that Barnes winning FMVP/being the main factor in them winning the Finals + Warriors sweeping the Cavs wouldn't have had an influence on the Warriors' FO and Durant's actions and decisions? If you can't provide any evidence contesting that than there's no reason for you to ask me to provide "facts from legitimate sources".

All you did was reference a bunch of shyt during the regular season of the Warriors players wanting Durant. That doesn't contest my position, at all. Nobody knows definitively either way what would've happened exactly, except that things would've played out differently - Durant not signing with the Warriors being a realistic outcome.

@O.G.B if the Warriors swept the Cavs and Barnes won FMVP - not only would have it influenced the decisions and actions of the Warriors' FO and Durant but those of EVERY single team and FA (and players just in general) in the league too. Things would've played out differently all around the league.

You seem to be slow, so let's try this again!
