My thoughts:
- Great performance, very dominant on the ball, solid defensively for 9/10 cumulatively of the game and very forward thinking
- Ball control and passing needs to improve but given the Hull defensive stance and the conditions, it was tough
- Rashford and Mkhi were fantastic, and it is nice to have boosts like that to come off the bench for people underperforming
- Fellaini was exceptional once again, especially second half, despite giving away some fouls and being off in his positioning in the first half
- Rooney is shyt for 90% of every game, but he always comes up with the crucial play, be it goal or assist
- Martial better get his shyt together
Overall this is a great win, a game that we would fail to dig out under Van Gaal or Moyes, and certainly reminiscent of Fergie Time. 1-0 against a determined Hull team and I can say with confidence this team is not getting relegated this year, despite a heavily undermanned squad. Another clean sheet as well. Loving life so far.
