That’s the challenge of Dems when you have to balance ID politics and an economic platform. You can’t make all the groups happy that need to fit under your umbrella so at minimum you need someone people love/are charmed by

Most female presidents come up under parliamentary systems where the party recognizes your value. Like Pelosi would have been president a LONG time ago if you had a parliament that would nominate the President/Prime Minister.
Female presidents are rarely popularly elected.

Blacks have pushed progressivism since 1940 with a pro black message. There’s no way Bernie or Liz would have Bobby rush on stage with them.
