Hillary lost because she didn't engage rust belt voters. Clearly having policy plans that will help isn't enough.
She ain't just lose the rust belt for lack of engagement, she lost because she was pushing trade policy that Trump was banking on running against. Even if she had engaged the people in the rust belt, she would have still looked and smelled like your typical corporate democrat and trade would have still been a "Trump" card.
He said himself he was shook of her picking Bernie as VP because of that very issue.
I shytted on Mook a lot but there was data that said the more she talked to Midwest audiences, the more they disliked her. I know. I was one of those people. I stated repeatedly that Cory made a mistake by not pushing it harder. However, baby bonds is not the same as reparations, and I didn’t support his candidacy. So I’m still not sure what Cory Booker have to do with the conversation we were having.
Roland Martin was basically saying, after Obama you might not get another black POTUS because the stakes changed and what it took to appeal to black voters changed.
I think Cory and Kamala knew this and hedged a little too much.
