it's not bernie's fault that the republicans and democrats have monopolies on their respective sides of the aisle :yeshrug: if anti trust laws applied to politics, then both parties would be broken up

Not really.

How about building up support at the state and local level instead of trying to take the top of the cake and work backwards?

AOC winning a democratic seat by promising true reform as a more progressive Dem is good but winning a seat in deep red Mississippi, Alabama, or Tennessee that Dems can’t win is showing your message is something the two parties can’t do. That gerrymandering won’t work.

That is a revolution

not really, they'll rally around him to drum up support to beat trump and then treat him the way tea party repubs treated moderate republicans, obstruct him
:comeon: we'll see about that

ive seen your posts about M4A, im pretty sure you arent even rallying around bernie yourself :skip: and even if you do, i'll show you a couple million who refuse

No it wouldn't have. In 2016 running independent would have turned him into a fringe candidate. If you're worried about the dems fukking him over now, well they really woulda fukked him over if he ran as third party lol.

shyt even if fukkin Obama ran third party he wouldn't have been president. The powers that be are never gonna let that happen. They have too much money and influence to ever let that happen.

Lemme say it again...I'll cap it this time...

THIRD PARTY CANDIDATES DO NOT WIN PRESIDENCIES.

Also it's a little too fukking late for all this "well he shoulda ran as this or that" shyt. He's a democratic candidate now and nothing is gonna change that. It's a pointless hypothetical now.

And finally, and this is the most important point, we have to focus on getting Trump and and all his enablers all the way the fukk outta here before we worry about changing the two-party system. Trump would fukking DESTROY a third party candidate in an election, even if its Bernie.
The revolution that plays by the rules :ohhh:

You're getting hung up on his campaign slogan, not my words, with your straw man argument. I never said anything about revolution. No one running for office in this country is gonna throw a revolution, especially not a career senator - even if they are a leftist like Bernie. But if he's gonna make some changes, he's gotta get elected first. And third party candidates don't get elected.
