Great question. Truthfully, I need to better engage with that demo of Bernie supporters in order to for me to have a fully accurate interpretation of the campaign.
Most of the ones I know interpersonally are white folks, primarily public school teachers who are heavily disengaged with the private sector.
Carson was leading a handful of polls around this time in 2015. A tweet explaining how he did this hiring a scam-Pac was posted a couple of pages ago. Biden has zero enthusiasm at his events, no one really fukks with the guy. Goes without saying he is not ben carson and has his built-in advantages, but I cant shake the idea that he is gaming this nonsense polling in similar ways
Also tying that into the people who want Bernie to drop out are showing their lack of court vision. Bernie and liz going 1 & 2 in the first few primaries announces to the country where the party is going. It gets biden out quicker than if it were him coming in 2nd to Liz without bernie running. And possibly most importantly we can finally unapologetically have a debate amongst legitimate presidential candidates who aren't corporate henchmen. I am convinced that would consciously and subconsciously change what people except out of our politicians on a meaningful level.
Also it ensures the runner up as all but the next democratic Senate leader with a mobilized base. As much as some people cant see past their hate boner for Sanders and his supporters it is still fascinating to watch otherwise intelligent people operate from a place of spite.

I disagree but the main reason I want people to read it is, the premise of the article is true, moderates are nothing more than centrist democrats hiding out from the liberal label.
