if the doctor is getting a pay cut you’re going to have to cut the wage of nurses too. I make about $175000 with OT. I’m just saying.

Nurses are underpaid. They do the majority of the heavy lifting for patients. They're required to be skilled, multifaceted, unflappable, talked down to, and setup their doctor and thus the hospital for success.

They should be paid more, especially in the ER and childcare.

If you can afford healthcare the US has some of the best Healthcare in the country.

If the argument is US med workers salaries cost 100bn a year more than Germany then we have a space to fix that. Lower the defense budget. Why are we raising it when everyone is saying we're pulling out of these expensive occupations.

Breh being a doctor , PA, nurse etc is a 24/7 365 day career. When’s the last time you heard a teacher was on call for a hospital whether it’s for nurses needing orders or to go into surgery. Some doctors are literally in charge of thousands of people’s Heath with their practices. people rely on checkups from Said doctors to stay healthy and live a good life.
Not trying to diminish the jobs other industries do either but you got to realize these jobs take a toll on you. It’s mentally , physically and financially draining. Every year you have to make sure all your credentials are in order every year you have to make sure you have continuing education. Medicine is not a joke.

Doctors and nurses have the hardest jobs in the nation.

That boys posting about an equitable society but the ppl that administer every major point in ur life shouldn’t be held in high regard?

They handle you being born, every illness you encounter, any issues u may have that can impact every other aspect of your life, until your death. They do that for not only you but for everyone u love as well.

Nurses should be making 175k with it bc they deserve it.

:unimpressed: Y’all wouldn’t go cheap for getting ur car or house fixed. But ur willing to for your life :mjtf:

Inevitably rich ppl will pay more for the best doctors. Those mothefukkers ain’t going to go cheap, you can guarantee that.

I’m good on that breh. If my doctor needs 300k to live comfortably in order to save my life.

So be it, my life is literally in their hands. :manny:

This is what happens when you spend your entire career catering to a 99% WHITE constituency. Then when you have the opportunity to immerse yourself into a diverse group of people (Dem party), you refuse.
My aunt just read it (her daughter sent her a link) and sat there with the :usure: face :mjlol:

That’s what I’m saying. I understand what @King Kreole is saying, but i just don’t think you can sell that politically, unless you make med school free. That’s what they do in the military and VA.
Doctors and hospitals killed universal healthcare when Obama tried it, so I'm under no illusions about how difficult M4A would be politically. I'm just saying it's not going to be possible to implement if you don't either reign in the compensation for healthcare workers, which is the highest in the world, or soak the middle class in tax hikes that would most likely end up increasing their healthcare costs on average. It's a political decision. Either America is a haven for wealthy doctors or it's a place where everyone gets healthcare at a reasonable cost.

absolutely no one is saying doctors and nurses shouldn't be held in high regard or have it easy. At some point in time y'all gonna have to contend with the numbers and facts instead of emotion. It's the highest-paid occupation in society, and no other country that has adopted universal healthcare has doctors making this much. Many of these countries have a better quality healthcare system too. So no, your doctor doesn't need $300K to save your life.

There are a whole host of necessary occupations in society that don't get paid $300K. Teachers and social workers are both essential and chronically underpaid yet y'all in here caping for Dr. Johnson because we're asking him to not take that 3rd vacation and turn in his country club membership so that poor people can get good quality healthcare. Priorities fukked. :hhh:

I don’t find doctors being paid high to teachers being paid low.

Do u really think doctors being paid lower will have a direct impact on social workers and teachers being paid more?

:dahell: I'm not sure what you're saying. My whole point is that being a doctor isn't the only essential position in society yet it seems to be the only one people are demanding sustain incredibly high pay. The government using its leverage to reduce doctors salaries and bring healthcare costs down to international levels isn't a mechanism to boost teacher or social worker salaries. Those are separate issues that should be corrected on their own.
