I don't understand the purpose of having black faces up there just to have them up there. Kamala had the best shot to come out of this a winner and fumbled it. Booker never had a shot. I understand the point that having no black representation, or minority representation, for democratic presidential candidacy is bad from an optic standpoint. But we're not choosing candidates based on race, we're choosing candidates based on who is the best. I think Kamala and Corey are better candidates than Biden, but unfortunately he still has the advantage of name recognition and currently the black vote. They also did not take the Buttigieg/Klobuchar route of accepting any and every media interview which would have probably brought them into top four or five candidate status. They both made their mistakes, and Kamala didn't do a very good job of defending herself. I'm still looking forward to see how they both move forward politically

It wasn’t trolls though. It was grassroots activists including a lot of Black people like my friends from California. @dora_da_destroyer can attest to that. I’m not happy that she’s out already and it will be troublesome looking at that lack of diversity but Harris ran a bad campaign plain and simple.

The timing of the Kamala thing seems a little suspect to me. Why not wait til after Iowa?

The cynical part of me thinks it’s something like the party bosses got at her and said she need to stop Bernie from potentially winning IA, and by her dropping out that 4% or whatever will go to Biden, Buttigieg, or Warren and there was some quid pro quo there.

Either that or some terrible scandal like an affair or sex tape may have been about to drop.
