what's up with wisconsin? you'd think what walker (& foxconn) did to that state, they'd wake the fukk up. but it's also telling they're just for white men, pete would likely reverse his polling if he weren't gay

It's been a purple state. We have to also remember that in 2000 and 2004, Gore and Kerry both barely won Wisconsin.

Obama really made Wisconsin a likely-solid blue state in his runs but underneath it, a tragedy occurred...

The Kochs spent a lot time and money with Walker and flipping the state legislature in 2010... they then went after the labor unions, they gerrymandered the state map to entrench GOP power, knocked voters off the rolls and implemented voter ID.

Obama's strategy was high turnout in the urban areas and cutting the deficit in the rural areas. His 2008 campaign was heavily grounded in the Midwest for a lot of reasons..

Wisconsin and NC are ground zero for election fukkery. It's really hard to trust polls when you know voter suppression efforts will be through the roof.

And after 2018 it looks like Florida and Georgia have decided that's the move.

All of that to say is they they'd probably be more blue if elections were fair.

Also to say I wonder how it will affect the campaigns leading up the general. We know Hillary spent a lot of time trying to win back those southern states with no success and as a result spent less time in midwest and rust belt.

How accurate are these head to head vs the incumbent polls before the primaries? These polls seem useless IMO.
I dont really like them. I feel like they don't offer anything beyond attempting to make electability arguments.

They almost all show that Trump ain't that popular and his base is his base. Beyond that... :manny:

but those are the exact tangible/measurable adverse effects of voting red that would make me say "gee, might not want to vote for these fukkboys", at least in a state like WI where you have lots of swing voters. i wouldn't expect that to be the case in a red state where trump could mass execute poor white people and they'd still vote red

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
What is the main issue that the Dems should hammer Trump on in the general? I think it is FP and Iran. Independents are overwhelmingly against what Trump did in Iran. Dems need to point out how dangerous and reckless he is everyday.
FP, Iran, Endless wars, Trade deals, booming markets, not booming household incomes, healthcare costs, etc
