Excluded? When was she ever part of the civil rights movement, the women’s movement, the socialist movement, the labor movement, the environmental movement, the gay movement, the American Indian movement (lol) or any movement about social justice throughout her life before she was in government?

She was a Republican during all these battles. That’s why I don’t know how yall ever trusted her. Her mid-life liberal turn was based on data and math, not righteous passion.

You was never one of us.

We're not talking about electing someone to the lifetime activist HOF, we're talking about electing someone to the presidency. Record is important, but it's not a deciding factor in this discussion.

And you're acting like she was some Republican operative or politician fighting against these issues. Her Republican affiliation was totally passive. Whenever she's been in a position of power to use her influence to make change, she was on the side of the progressive movement.

She had multiple chances to clear things up and she didn’t. She was complicit. She’s the one who didn’t respond to the initial reports for hours so that people could speculate. She’s the one who muddied the waters and escalated things further at the debate. Who cares what political reporters are speculating or what consensus they have come to? Sure it could’ve been a random person in Warren’s staff and not authorized by her directly, but she could’ve clarified and contextualized and she didn’t. She let people speculate and the story to ferment.
:childplease: Y'all acting like she works for the Sanders campaign instead of being a competitor. It's not her responsibility to help Bernie out of a mess. He could have deaded this whole thing early too but he got caught flat footed. This whole primary y'all been complaining about how weak Warren is and how Trump would make food of her and how she doesn't have a killer instinct and blah blah blah. Guess what? A opp popped up and she took the shot. Shooters shoot, and she just proved she's a shooter. She didn't backstab anyone or cause the issue, but she damn sure didn't lay down for a competitor. She took the shot when it presented itself to her. Fair play, no flags on the field. If she had done the opposite and immediately put out this fire for Bernie y'all would be in here saying "See, she just doesn't have the killer instinct needed to be President :francis:"

There’s absolutely no reason any candidate should add Tulsi as his or her VP.

What does she bring?

She’s fairly despised amongst Democrats (both the centrists and progressives), so she’s not going to energize the base.

Republicans that like her are not crossing party lines for her.

She’s not a politician in a swing state.

So what purpose does she serve?

How much more "deaded" can you get than looking in a camera on national TV and saying "I never said that" at the first opportunity after the report came out.

You are arguing with acolytes. All you can do is sit back and wait for things to fall apart and hope they dont go crazy.

if you're gonna criticize my choice that's fine, but where's yours :heh:

the nominee will be bernie or biden, so personally i think their nominee could be the same person. or obviously not, but pick whoever you want

who do you think it should be?
there aren't a ton of people i have lined up who i believe are great VP picks as i generally agree, VP is usually inconsequential. but tulsi is one of the few people who objectively wouldn't be a good pick, yang is someone i subjectively think wouldn't be either given i'm not into people with no political experience being in the highest offices, especially with the age of the candidates.

barbara lee has been my pick for both of them politically - she's progressive, so ppl will trust her politics align with bernie - people will trust that if he dies his platform will be carried on, but she's not seen as radical, therefore she doesn't scare "the establishment" as someone who's go rogue if biden died. but her age is a problem.
