The voter who asks Joe the question says she got a call... probably from Bernie's campaign army of volunteers.

Joe has to disown the video of him agreeing with Paul Ryan on Social Security cuts and claim its doctored. And Joe is endorsing expansion of Social Security by lifting the cap on taxable income for Social Security. There's a bill in Congress that 200+ Democrats have co-signed doing just that...

This is going to be interesting to see how the phone banking operation is going to impact things. Bernie's team has made over 4 million calls already this month.

sure. first you can explain to me why bernie isnt crushing biden in the primary polls

edit: wait a second, dont you mean obama has to? :laff:

The so-called electability factor. Most biden supporters aren't enthusiastic about him. They only support him cuz he's familiar and the media has told them he stands the best chance of beating Trump. The fact Bernie is as close as he is given the way the mainstream media has underestimated him is amazing. Plus, he's generally under polled cuz his policies and strategy attract a lot of first time voters. His run in 2015 proves this fact. Today's conservatives aren't anti-government per se. Many of them don't like the big banks, big pharma, and the healthcare industry. They hate free trade and how its led to globalization. Healthcare is people's biggest concern based on several polls. The biggest distinction between working class people on the left and the right are the cultural issues which bernie does a good job of letting working class white people not feel alientated by.

but you want to create a coalition with one percenters. who might be racists. the entire point of centerism is the stand for nothing.

Dems, especially black folk are used to pandering, they want a thick layer of bullshyt virtue signals on top of the big pile of nothing that they'll vote for in vast majority anyway.

Ahh whitesplaining via a token black example, as if a singular black actor can’t be wrong/speaks for everyone. Furthermore, holding up Obama, who by proxy of being the first black, and one of the more likable presidents, has always had to shy away from direct race talk as to not add more ammo against himself, is not a great proxy for this discussion.

I’ve seen Michelle Obama speak, and best believe she doesn’t hold her tongue on the source, effect and reasons for racism in this country. So, imma roll with the non politician view on this.

This argument is getting dumb too, instead of jumping head first trying to :cape: for Bernie’s view, seems like people would be better served correcting the conversation while also accepting that maybe a very small faction of racists are driven by their economic position...tho the whole foundation of white supremacy far supercedes economics, which Bernie and his protectors all seem to want to overlook.
